Just to be a pedant on this, the younglings called Anakin “Master Skywalker” as did Ahsoka. Was he made a Master by the Council and then put on the Council? No. But he was a Master in another sense as he was able to train a padawan. And remember the Palpatine intervention so he could sit on the Council as his rep so the broader Jedi population who didn’t know the arrangement would’ve viewed him as a Master.

I read this a couple of years ago and thought you party poopers would’ve posted it by now.

'Rise of Skywalker' spoilers: The return of the Death Star makes zero sense

A lot of stuff in 'Episode IX' doesn't make sense, but the biggest retcon has nothing to do with 'The Last Jedi.'

These don't annoy me as much as the prequels. Actually I consider the Rise of Skywalker to be at prequels level so yes it does annoy me.

I still love Star Wars though.

    Been some good meme-ing today.

ok...then i have to pedant your claim at being a pedant....those are all example of people being wrong....he was never granted the rank of master....i want to edit the meme so the emperor starts with "sorry to be a pedant...but...."

agreed...and it stupid to have this huge hunk sitting on the planet, but

Assuming the Sith Dagger was made before the events of Return of the Jedi

is that what everyone else thought? dont get me wrong....i cant understand why anyone would make the dagger...and the odds of standing on the exact point so as it makes sense are mad (could have just written its in a vault in the old throne room).....but i just assumed it was made after, was there somethign to say it was made before?

edit: actually, reading further, as much as im on board with the general sequel bagging, this dudes just a dick

Okay, so C-3PO’s translation of the Sith Dagger says “the Imperial vault,” which might suggest that the Emperor threw his Wayfinder into a random safe, kind of like how Ewan McGregor hid a bunch of heroin money in a rented locker in Trainspotting. If “the Imperial vault” is just one of many Imperial Vaults

how does "the"....suggest, "one of many"....famously used for things where there is only one or one obvious choice

But, there are a few problems with this. This Death Star was under construction when the Emperor arrived. In fact, that was the whole reason he was there; to make sure everybody finished the project. Now, we could argue endlessly about whether or not this was the Emperor’s real intent — I.E. he lured the Rebels there, maybe he anticipated Vader’s betrayal, etc. — none of that changes the fact that this Death Star was, again, as stated, a work-in-progress

very famously the death star was fully operational

Not only all of that but “somehow Palpatine returned”. Which is the laziest, shittest line in SW history ( which is saying something )

People having a dig at the prequels should remember that one.

    @MN5 i know right!

prequels have their faults but largely i still feel they tell a continuous story...the sequels really are just three films that feels like they're were just throwing shit against a wall and seeing what stuck

Not to mention a single movie introducing the most irritating collection of SW characters in history

Fuck me Fett was cartoon bullshit, but man Andor is so very good, I'm upto episode 8. Totally got characters, depth, intelligence. Awesome, TBH best Star Wars I've watched. Makes the Empire really evil, the evil of paperwork and management. But also shades of grey, cos some they believe they're doing the right thing.

I think if they met in the middle ( like Rogue One……dark, violent yet with enough pew pew stuff ) they would have made an absolutely fantastic show.

I agree with Fett’s faults but Andor was just TOO slow burning for me.

Proof that @MN5 is still a 10 yr old kid at heart. Andor is the best of these SW series for me.
