Terry Hall from The Specials has died. Only 63. RIP grumpy guy.

Shit. Saw them play in Brixton only a few years ago.

Was a 'complicated' bloke for sure. Carried a lot of baggage from his youth and a sexual assault as described in a Fun Boy Three song.

As the pioneering 2 Tone band’s lead singer, Hall’s impassive style made him a star – and helped him weather the vicissitudes of fame, the changing charts and British decline

A slightly frivilous addition to the thread but an important factor in the invention of the Great British Curry House

George Cohen, Fulham FC and England legend.

Just Bobby Charlton and Geoff Hurst left of Alf Ramsey's 1966 Wingless Wonders.

    Noooo …. That’s shit.

Great band, great lyricist, colossal presence.

    This one hurts.

Probably not as much we are going to hear about him being able to sleep now though.

Poos, my cuzzie introduced me to faithless, great memories and some awesome, original, cutting music

EDIT: just went for run, with my normal random play all the songs on my phone - after the current song finished (I stopped last time half way through) this was next - MY FAVE FAITHLESS!

@Victor-Meldrew Just saw clips of him here and there but outside of his game, his infectious smile has to be one of the best. I did not realize that his country designated him a national treasure so that he could not leave Brazil to play in Europe. Wouldn't fly these days but maybe his country's league was the best around in the day. Hard to compare to these days greats but he was not a flopper, which is refreshing. 3 world cups, born in poverty, fantastic player. What is there not to like. RIP
