@antipodean The Rig…ummm… Decent enough looking cast so I stuck it out…but dunno why I waded through to the end. Easily the worst thing I have watched in a very long time -

See now I just wanna watch it to find out.

Watched the entire 11 seasons of Modern Family, overall I thought it was very good, plenty of genuine laugh out loud stuff, some great characters, actually is a bit sad that it has finished.

This really was a very good show. I need to get around to finishing the last few seasons now that D+ has it.

    The Rig on Amazon Prime

This is amazingly shit. The plot is terrible - if it was a painting it would hang on the fridge. The acting is community play level, made worse by the sole qualifier during casting of overacting or hamming it up.. The CGI is obvious.

It is easily the worst thing I have watched so far this year.

We’re only 14 days in, there’s still time for far worse. May I suggest Manifest ?

After the family finished Friends, we churned through Modern Family. 1-2 episodes per night , most nights. Really fun show, though some of the characters grated by the end (that’s you Lily and Cam). Def sad when we finished it.

I tried to get them into Parks and Rec but it was a bit subtle for the boys, so we are now into The Office (US version) - my oldest boy loves it, thinks Michael is hilarious, my daughter thinks he’s a complete pig of a man 😁

I struggled initially with that cos I just couldn’t see Ed O’Neill as anyone but Al Bundy.

Sofia Vergara helped make things easier though.

I haven’t watched MWC in decades, is it inappropriate for young/pre teenagers or should I be adding this to the family queue?

@voodoo yeah I been working my way through parks and rec, only through S2 I think.

I liked The Office, both US/UK versions.

Yeah for the most part, Cam was one of my fave characters, but did kinda end up moving back in the pack, never really liked Lily though.

Am thinking How I met your mother as my next one.

Married with Children is the greatest sitcom of all time.

Dated, quite cheaply made ( which adds to it’s charm ) and at times incredibly offensive.

Al Bundy is the funniest TV character ever.

Did you know he once got four touchdowns in a single game for Polk High back in 1966 ?

Strange, I would have thought Parks and Rec would be as easily accessible as The Office - you didn't try and make them watch the first season without warning them it becomes a completely different show?

The humour in The Office is a lot more overt and simple. Parks and Rec you really need to understand the characters, takes a little more investment I think

Also finished the latest season of Breeders....started as a comedy, def changed direction this season (started moving that way last season too) alot darker serious content.

Still a good series, with good writing and acting, but changes when I will watch something like this.

Tulsa King finds its groove after the introductory episodes. I’m enjoying it. Good characters and tight scripting.

Kaleidoscope on Netflix is good fun.

Not particularly original in any way but Giancarlo Esposito is terrific as always and the supporting cast are good.

    Couple of episodes to go.

@MN5 does it get better than episode one? We bailed about three quarters through as while the premise and production seemed good, it felt like the dialogue and action was written by a 12yo.

here is the Netflix challenge, people watch the episodes in different order to one another, except for the reveal I believe..so your ep 1 wont be the same as someone else.

I watched right through, it was ok. Was I able to guess what happened before we got there?..yes, so no real surprises unfortunately

and some eps better than others and i reckon a better viewing sequence would have improved my experience as well.. so not sure if their experiment worked

I do kinda see @Bones point. Some bits are just a bit too try hard and ‘cool’. My first episode was when they started off in jail. What was yours ?

@MN5 my first was getting the group together and robbing the jewellery store for seed money. It was all so predictable but with shithouse lines.
