BGI in China has been trying to create a miniature pig for bench-top experiments for two decades, perhaps they went in the other direction with cats?

Think it's a Maine Coon. Can weight up to 12kg.

@Machpants unless, like a girlfriend from my 20's you manage to luck upon a brother and sister pair in cat rescue that nobody knew were MC's when they were kittens!

Cost between £750 to £1,500 here in the UK.....were about £400 pre-pandemic. Our cat looks very MC like but cost us a £30 donation to the RSPCA.

Lots of unscrupulous breeders, sadly, according to our local cat rescue centre.

Pet prices went nuts during lockdown, though they seem to have subsided now. Our Lab cost £800 back in 2019 but prices had climbed above £3k in mid 2020.

Are you supposed to be able to see the person lifting him?

Yes, Nice of the predator to help him like that.

Huge relief too as I was feeling weak and inadequate after watching that.

I got a good laugh out of this! Sad to say but a lot of it might not be far from the truth, particularly the bus situation, including the "all in brawl" on the Eastbourne bus referred to in the article.
