Our Academy got at least two players from Manawatū's Academy, who - due to plain incompetence and/or lack of $$ of the MRU - weren't offered contracts: Hunter Morrison and Kade Manuel. I'll check the others later. Just like Flanders and Godfrey, Morrison has a National Development Contract and is training with the Hurricanes' senior side.
Oh right, so that's where the HB players will drop out.

Be a lot easier with a road bike, clean them up, they're all on low geared MTB.

Marist St Pats is delighted to welcome Jack OāBrien and his family to our club family. Jack is contracted to the Wellington Rugby Football Union Academy.
A second-five/first five, Jack played for the St Johnās College 1st XV in Hamilton from 2020-2022. Jack was then selected in the Chiefs Under 18 Development Squad and New Zealand Barbarians Under 18 Team. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player āMVPā and Playersā Player of the Year at the SJC rugby prize giving.
Most recently, Jack was named in the Hurricanes Under 20ās Development Squad for 2023 along with Chicago Doyle who assemble for camp at NZCIS on January 21.
With strong family ties to Hamilton Marist, we know Jack will feel right at home at Marist St Pats #RedMachine -

@Canes4life Not 100% but looked like him out on the water in a coastguard boat with a few of his teammates.

Also one player that hasnāt been spotted in a Hurricaneās post in a while is Peter Lakai. I wonder if heās sustained an injury thatās keeping him out if pre-season?

@Canes4life There are several players that haven't appeared in photos since the start of preseason. I wouldn't draw any conclusions from that, unless you see them in a moonboot, with crutches or watching from the side line.
