    In the first ODI when they came up with the stat that Latham had a 91% winning record as captain I knew that wasn't going to last, and bless them, they proved me right 😞

    Still it's a tough ask to win in India.

    You don't always expect a win, but you don't expect a capitulation. India played well and took all their fielding chances too..but yes our response was woeful.

    Latham was not Captain for the 20/20s he is back in NZ.
    Santner Was captain.
    So you cant blame him for the 20/20 captaincy.

    @Chris I'm not blaming him for the 20/20's, hence why I said ODI's 🙂

    Fair enough Santner was terrible as a captain.
    He Bowled Bracewell one over, he took the first wkt in his first over and never bowled again.
    He set shit fields not protecting the right angles.
    I was not impressed by his thought process at all in defending the aggressive approach the Indians took.
    He seem to panic.

    I actually thought it was clever bowling Bracewell early and had immediate impact, even Listers first over from his first end was good. Then Santner removed Bracewell completely and bowled Lister from the other end both after one over....strange

    Didn't watch. But when I looked at the scorecard, the bowling card seemed to scream out 'give the fringe players a decent shot'.

    @bayimports Why strange? India stacked their team with quick bowlers. Just one over to check for turn seemed sensible. NZ had a rather weak pace attack and India capitalised. Nice innings from Daryl Mitchell in tough circumstances though. Maybe he could have been bowled earlier given what he showed in the final over.

    @ARHS strange because not only did he get a wicket, but conceding 8 was comparatively cheap and he was not seen again in the innings especially when compared to the expensive mess that was Tickner, Ferguson..

    Ferguson was always likely to get overs regardless but not bowling Bracewell again in my mind was not the right decision.
