Great game. No idea why Marcus Smith is playing test rugby. Seems well below that level.

Like Moanga, needs a block busting 2nd five outside him. They are hard to find these days.

The kiwi match officials went fine.

Yeah. Only 2 games, but so far the Reffing has been good so far with minimal stoppages and a bit of common sense on what could have been contentious decisions. Hope it continues

I lived in England for over 20 years but as this game progressed wanted Scotland to win. Just more adventureous and took their chance's esp with England's defense not a strength

One comment on the BBC website. Saw this made before the game too. Will a change be made here

John Barclay. Former Scotland captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

The Marcus Smith and Owen Farrell axis doesn't work. England were great going forward but how many times did we see Marcus carry the ball to the line? He did that as no one was there to pass to.

If you have someone outside, someone who can bring the power game, and you can change distribution. You saw Smith and Farrell carrying and while they are smart rugby players, they aren't the strongest ball carriers

Final comment. Three wins in a row for Scotland over England

Bad start for Borthwick. Losing at home. But Italy next week then Wales then France and Ireland. So 2 easier team to get things back on track

Scotland have Wales then France then Ireland

Pretty horrible to see VdM run straight through Smith for the try.

Get fucked. That was poetry. Like a white Jonah.

I don’t get up to watch sport at 3am anymore. I value my sleep far too much.

Smith should be ashamed of that. Zero urgency just jogging across. Farrell also made a bunny but you could argue he was over running to make up for Smith.

Ireland will pump both of these teams.

    Fantastic Scotland

Not all doom and gloom today 😉

VDM try a thing of beauty

England are one or two selections from being 6N champions

    Smith or Farrell, not both

Good strong inside centre, not Tuilagi

    A better backup than Youngs

A big problem is that Farrell has been de-powered tackle wise. He is not a defensive force if he can't put in high-ish league hits.
Against Ireland you want to defend outside in and take away Sexton's options. I'd be asking my 12 to target him all day. Marginally late hits a priority.

Today is the day I found out Tom Curry has a twin brother who played. How bout that ? Probably a bit similar to ever take the field in an international together though ?

A lot of credit must go to referee Paul Williams , called brilliant advantages and kept the game flowing ..very few turnovers in the first half , can see why the Scots gave the ABs such a fright .
    Superb game.

Is there anything better than watching England lose?

    Well done Scotland.

Marcus Smith isn't getting any better, England fans.

Watched the game in the pub which is not best for a critical overview but great from an enjoyment of the experience perspective. Given that caveat, my thoughts are that primarily England seemed to be playing several different defensive patterns, they were all over the place. VDM’s try a case in point. Well taken and all and we can point at some poor tackling but where was the structure in the first place?

In attack it was much the same story. Was anyone on the same page once it got close to the line? 2 well worked tries showed what we could do but it was almost like they were accidents.

Can anyone explain the logic of box kicking when you’re hot on attack in the last third of the field when the opposition are all at sea? Time after time? When it hasn’t worked previously?

    Thought not.

Enough whinging. Well done to the Jocks, who took their limited opportunities very well and were good value for the win.

    Oh and welcome back @Luigi

What a fucking horrible day to be an Englishman eh?
