    What a catch by Mitchell.

    Root over aggressive there.

That's the Richie Benaud yardstick acted out right there. Something like 'if you think you're in a good position, subtract two wickets from the score to check'

        wasn't that Geoffrey Boycott?

Could have been, corridor of uncertainty is one I have stuck in my mind from Boycott.

Just got home from morning coaching session
Catching up, A worry to see Scott Kuggeljin playing a test he is not up to test cricket,it would have been better to blood a youngster for the experience, probably would not lose a lot short term but gain long term.

fielding has improved - some good runs being saved out there.

It's a lose lose selection all round. Ordinarily the Outraged of Twitter are best ignored, but slightly conflicted feelings in this case, as they're being aggravated for a journeyman with no recent first class form to speak of. Maybe best to have gone with Duffy... or... arguably a bloke sitting 500m away watching via his WiFi.

But at least he now has a first Test wicket of Ben Stokes to further aggravate the Twitterati.

Maybe best to have gone with Duffy... or... arguably a bloke sitting 500m away watching via his WiFi.

I would have blooded a youngster.

Genuine question of - which one? I have no other names leaping to mind (maybe there should be). Doug Bracewell would have been ideal (gnashing of teeth from @MN5 aside πŸ™‚ )... others?

Good question, There must be someone worth trying, If the answer is no NZ cricket is in major trouble going forward.

Yep, it's a bit like the batting. Henry Nicholls goes rarely questioned and overrated because the replacement options get very thin on the ground after Will Young. We need to import more South Africans...

                                          Brook is class.

Dominating a poor attack here - interesting to see how he fares against world class bowling in The Ashes.
