Southee SMASHING his way towards that follow on mark.

That @Damo sure knows his cricket !

Also just hit his 80th test six, some pretty big names right in his sights to chase……

Definitely. Smashed a commanding 73 but VERY irresponsibly

I think it's probably fair to say that Henry is more of a bowling all rounder. Still be good to see him score some runs.

If we don't make the follow on do we think England will put us back in?

    Blundell gone.

Is Wagner an all rounder too ? I hope so

He hasn't been bowling well lately. Perhaps he has been focussing his efforts on his batting.

Good resistance so far by our openers.

Not what England wanted when they enforced the follow on.

They've bowled 33 overs today on top of 42 overs yesterday. Hopefully, the early spring in their steps is starting to dissipate.

I assume they enforced the follow on due to the forecast. It's left the door ajar for us to set them a tricky total.

@No-Quarter This would be a good innings for both Kane and Henry both to pay us what we're owed in terms of runs!!!

Nice opening stand but Young did himself no favours again. Hardly beating down the door as an alternative for Nichols

From the Black Caps Facebook page:

Tom Latham has become the 7th New Zealander to score 5,000 Test runs. He joins Ross Taylor, Kane Williamson, Stephen Fleming, Brendon McCullum, Martin Crowe and John Wright on the list

Yeah - we didn't need to give up a cheap wicket.

Need to bat all day tomorrow and probably 90 minutes on Tuesday. Book in for bed and breakfast boys!!!!

I reckon England will chase whatever we set and our best chance is to set something steep and have them chase hard longer than they should.

I dunno, chasing in tests is tough, it's not like ODIs where there are restrictions on bowlers and fielders. I think if we set them 200 plus they'll be a bit nervous. Early wickets like we got in the first innings and it could get very interesting. I think they were wrong to enforce the follow on, I'd only do that with a 300+ lead, even then it's better to just completely bat the other side out of the game. They could have easily done that.

Your boys need to bat and bat yet. I’d be surprised if it comes to a declaration, though Southee can be an aggressive captain. However, I think we’ll be chasing around 200, with a reasonable amount of time.
