Reminds me of GnR covering "Live and Let Die" around the same time as doing Dylan.....despite loving Axl, Slash and the boys give me Sir Paul Maccas version any day of the week although that may have something to do with loving the song cos it's the title track to one of the better Roger Moore Bond flicks.

Rootable she may be, but she's such a terrible actress. That Quantico show is hilariously bad. Identical twins have infiltrated the FBI academy and are pretending to be the same person.

I've never seen Quantico , her and Alexandra Daddario are in the Baywatch movie though .The plot and acting could resemble a 90 minute Briscoes ad and it would still be worth watching.

Some of the action scenes in early Connery flicks are questionable I agree.......

but the series as a whole is second only to Star Wars in awesomeness.

A few pages back I mentioned re-discovering a favourite band from the 80s 'The Sound'. Flicking through some old live clips on YouTube and came across this cover by their lead singer of one of the best songs ever written (IMO), Love will tear us apart.
I have heard Bowie covering this, Iggy too, and The Cure, but this stripped back interpretation is brilliant. Reminds me a lot of Johnny Cash's versions of Hurt and One

<a class="bbc_url" href="

Been listening to some 70s Elton John today at work. Live version of Benny and the Jets is fucking massive.

Also been listening to some Stone Temple Pilots. To me their stuff still plays well. Listened to some Temple of the Dog and Pearl Jam, we are having a nostalgic day at work, and they sound kind of dated. STP sounds good though. Nirvana is fuckdn hard to listen to these days.

Wutang got the most cheers today though.

Or actually after about 90% of the posts people write here when what they are listening to are not up to the modern hipster, or Tim, standard?

Now that Prince is dead Pharrell is THE musical genius of our times in my opinion. Fuck I love his work a lot. Ridiculously so. Tough going listening to NER*D on a recent roadie with my boys and trying to edit out the swear words as we sing along in the car though. "Dumb ass, girlfriend, fuck my friend, she's a ho" isn't really a line I want a 6 and 8 year old thrashing out. Just the kind of shit to get me in ( more ) trouble with their Mum.
