I liked Love and Thunder. I get why some didn’t but I don’t take superhero movies seriously and found parts of it funny.

@Crucial good, if i could choose i would rather have liked it

normally im pretty good at suspending disbelief with plot holes etc, my problems started with cheap looking costumes (after his black outfit in ragnarok) and dodgy CGI that seemed pretty common with Marvel over the last year so by the time i got to the giving kids the power of thor i was done

hoping the CGI stuff was just due to COVID during these shows development and stuff going forward will be better

Watched the latest Bad Batch ep on my flight and it's a really good one.
Just concentrates on Crosshair (who dedicated himself to the Empire) and his slow dawning realisation of what assholes they are.
Really good piece of the puzzle as to the changeover from Clones to Stormtroopers.

Do you mean the new start montage of helmets? It's pretty cool. They have also done the same for Bad Batch

@Crucial yeah that is cool too, without leaving spoilers this episode had a bit more action than the first, i thought the action on Mandalor was a good watch, felt movie like.

Did they use the same cinematographer from the last season of GoT. I could see anything half the time.

I won't spoil things but had a chuckle at the 'It was a trap" line.

This new season of Mando is the best yet so far.

It’s basically combining the book of Boba Fett and Andor into something even better. Absolutely loving it.

I won’t write anymore because I can’t seem to find the spoiler function…..

@MN5 I watched 1 and a half, or two and a half of the first series and gave up 'cos it was dull. Is this the 2nd or 3rd series? Either way, can I pick up without returning to the first one?

Certainly the production values have gone through the roof in S3. The night scenes on Coruscant looked amazing in 4K.

I'll add that the episode lengths are all over the place in this season.

@Bovidae IIRC episode lengths have always been all over the place...some eps in the 30 mins some in the 40s and even the odd one stretched to over 50, although the end credits always takes several minutes too

Great to see some excellent lightsaber action. The nerds will be going apeshit working out who that flashback Jedi was.

What was the story with the General Grievous type dude who lived in Mandalore ?

Any ideas what his deal was ?

im not sure enough has changed that you'd go from finding the first season dull to enjoying it...but i think you probably do need the back story

dull? i thought the first couple of episodes were pretty action packed

He played @MN5's favourite character from the prequels.
