when has the Basin wicket turned and bounced like this?

And why is M Bracewell looking like a good bowler?

    I blame the conditions

    Sri Lanka essentially negative 318/2………

I think Devon and Tom can afford to relax a bit knowing they won’t have to bat again

Hmm Mendis and Matthews at the Basin with a massive deficit, a couple of days to bat and a dodgy weather forecast. Why does this feel familiar...

Bracewell is going to take 5 and secure his spot in the team as well

You need to be more specific

Well they took 6 between them. Enough to keep them both in the team? Probably.

It’s doubtful we’ll get to see the “all round” side of Dougs game this test though

It’s a grey day with a hint of drizzle but ideally won’t be a factor in rolling them…..

Lead under 100 now. Nice rearguard from these two.

From skimming the commentary looks like we're getting a few balls to move but not quite getting the edge.

Oh for a Wags spell of fire breathing bouncers to mix things up.

All the ferns whipping boys have performed brilliantly ( Nicholls ) to decently ( Tickner, M Bracewell ).

I’m glad they’ve all taken our criticisms on board.

this coaching lark is easy. Hasn't worked for the ABs yet- but give it time

Yeah that was a nice innings, I was hoping he'd get his ton. Just the tail left now, combined average of 20. We should be able to wrap it up tonight.

Given how tired we look and the wind making things difficult, I think SL can hang on today unfortunately

We don't look threatening at all.. alas no wagnerball to go to

Quite funny hearing John Bracewell doing his best to be impartial when commenting on his two nephews playing.

Another wicket down, come on boys, rain tomorrow so let’s wrap this up.

Need wickets at the other end, bowling into the wind is looks like it is nearly impossible to do consistently. If no play likely tomorrow then this is not looking good. 40-1 odds on a draw... hmm

You have to give credit to the way these genuine tail enders have been going. Amazing, gutsy effort to last this long.
