    The Last of Us

    Finished

Thanks to those saying give it a second go

Peaked at Episode 3 for me
That was top of the notch TV

Could have made it leaner and tighter and got it done in 6 episodes without losing anything IMHO

Not sure I’ll be tuning in for Season 2

    Where can it go?

I think the producers of The Walking Dead should have asked that question after about season four.

Those post apocalyptic shows have a habit of running out of steam REALLY fast.

Do they need an ongoing lead villain like Negan/the Governor or more focus on the undead for next season ?

@MN5 yeah I think if they are smart, they do it for a couple of seasons, otherwise the content is just repetitive.

I hung on about 4 seasons too long for TWD hoping/expecting some kind of change/end....I think it has ended now hasnt it, probably 8 seasons too many.

as for S2 of TLOU, I guess it depends how they do it, I mean having an overall storyline with the smaller ones each week is better than just a long ongoing saga (see Negan) but all still comes back to the quality of the writing.

BUt as I have said before, I am a sucker for this genre, so I'll be all in for S2.

I am too, I loved Resident Evil/Silent Hill etc on the Playstation ( I’ve never actually played Last of us, life gets in the way of gaming these days )

These shows all start brilliantly, none more so than Fear the Walking Dead Cliff Curtis and the gang trying desperately to get on that rich dudes boat was sensational, exciting and gripping TV. Problem was once they actually made it things got boring REALLY quick.

It's based on a computer game so the story is in theory all planned out. But it they go that way there could be....some backlash.

Rabbit Hole is pretty fun. It could well tie itself in a knot and end-up delaying resolution for several seasons though.

I'm worried it could be like that Blacklist show which had a great set up and could have been excellent if two series at most but decided against wrapping up the story and went forever.

Finished Parks & Recreation over the weekend.

Oddly, I watched the first few eps a couple of times in the past and couldnt get into it, then decided to go beyond my usual 3 eps to decide as I know people that enjoyed it and I gotta say, it did get much better.

Also finished S1 of an Idiot Abroad, some gold in there!

    Succession

    S04 E03

    DID NOT SEE THAT COMING

Been a brilliant start to the final season

Can they keep it going for another 7 episodes?

Not sure I will like it as much with the best character not in it anymore.

Currently watching a bit of a masterpiece of a show, which I believe is virtually unknown.

Stacey Dooley Ready for War on the bbc is a good watch.

Really hope the counterattack starts soon and that Ukraine crushes Russia.

Sadly unlikely, conscripts and masses aren't that great on attack, but defence is much easier - even freezing starving Argentinian conscripts did OK in places in the FI

Technically a movie but related to a TV series. The Last kingdom - Seven Kings Must Die.

For me the series gradually got more and more mediocre the longer it went on. So the question here is whether the one off TV film could go back to what originally made the series good or would it just milk the cow?

Without question the tit has run dry. Dryer than a spinster witch’s tit. It’s fucking awful. Just a montage of individual cut scenes that tell no story and frankly are just conning the audience to keep the Netflix subs going. Just dross.

    No tits.
