I am surprised that Varsity have been well beaten in both games so far as I thought they would be more competitive with a number of Chiefs U20 players in their team.

Hamilton Marist in a close win over United Matamata Sports for their Centenary Celebrations.

It may have been posted already, but Freedom Vahaakolo is playing his club rugby for Takapuna in the North Harbour competition.

I see that both Adam Lennox and Fiti Sa are playing for Varsity in the Waikato club competition, even though they are contracted to Taranaki. I assume both are attending the University of Waikato. Tom Florence did the same, but played for Hautapu.

Pretty ugly result in Dunedin over the weekend, with Dunedin beating Alhambra 99 - 0.

And McWhannell on the bench for Hautapu.
    Sinkinson - Melville.

I'm surprised Dyer is playing too.

@Canes4life weird that Ah Koui is playing club footy in Welly rather than Hamilton.

@foobaNZ Wellington is 'home' to him. If he'd play club rugby in his NPC province, it would be BOP, not Waikato (unless he's returning to Wellington, this year).

He hasn't played club rugby in Wellington for a while so maybe he's moving back? If so, he'll be another solid off-season signing for the Lions.

It is definitely 'home' to him, more especially so when I think you will find that his father is one of the senior Vice Presidents of the Wellington RFU.

I am not surprised he was average,he has fallen off a cliff the last few years form wise.

@Stargazer yea, just a bit strange during the Super season he's down here, since he's aligned with BOP and the Chiefs now.

If he's coming back to the Lions that'd be great. Adding him and I'd assume Shields is Lions aligned would make me very happy!
