Night Agent
Holy shit I was close to switching off when we met the president. That's some suit.
You’ve completely lost me with this post, what am I missing ?
It goes along so well and then they throw in a crater of a plot hole or you meet the president looking like they just stepped out of a bangles reunion.
Yeah it’s definitely pulling the “convenient bullshit coincidence meter” to critical but it’s entertaining enough. Just finished episode 6 and things seem close to being wrapped up, I’m intrigued as to where they go from here to be honest.
Then again, you wouldn’t believe the Finnish Prime Minister looked like that if it wasn’t true.

Jury Duty on Amazon
A documentary on the inner workings of jury. The twist is everyone is an actor except one jury member who isn't in on the joke.
Worth sticking with, because there's some genuinely funny bits. Or there was while I was three sheets to the wind...

Currently watching S2 of Fauda on Netflix Uk.
Drama focussing on the Israeli Defense Forces and their covert battles with Hamas. Devised by ex member of IDF. Fully subtitled.
Well worth a watch.

saw the trailer for this, was thinking of not watching until I saw the trailer.. this looks like an unexpected hit..glad someone also found it funny. Given I don't spend much non work time sober, then I think I might enjoy this!

@antipodean sounds interesting, made more that Mrs TR is currently on jury service a week into a 2 week trial.

@MN5 it was really just the abomination of a suit. I don't think the Finnish PM would wear that around the office.
It's keeping the mystery well, I can't really figure it out and I'd have usually sussed it by now.
All done, a pretty good but certainly not great show. Have definitely set it up well for season 2.

Finished Beef on Netflix.
Pretty good, have to imagine for it to escalate as it did, you need 2 people on the edge, but when you learn more about both, you can see how it ended up going on the path it did, but probably not to the extreme it did for these 2 and the collateral damage.

I thought it was really good from episode 5 onwards but was struggling with it not living up to the hype until then (peeps in real life as well as online).
MILD SPOILER: I enjoyed the final scene for the rich bitch - she was annoying me the entirety of the show.

Are you talking about the suit the president is wearing when we first see her?
I didn't think it was that bad... but then, I own(ed) a very similar suit some time ago (albeit... home-made).
For me - this was the moment when I finally admitted to myself I was watching absolute trash:
It's like a fucking terrible B-/C+ grade 'thriller' book, where the protagonist ponders these questions internally... but actually literally spelled out in a fucking TV shot. Horrible. -

Watched E1 last night, didn’t really take to it. Will try another tonight

watched episode 4 of Rogue Heros, bit of a surprise
side point made me look up some stuff, Paddy Mayne was a British and Irish Lion before the war, love a rugby connection
-
@Kruse I havent got to that point, but thats his job isnt it, where he is analysing and making notes, so I dont think it seems that far fetched.
possible spoiler >
I had more issue with the scene the hotel when they were trying to escape, the fact he was there c 1030 and the hotel was largely empty, next to no people on the street either. But I dont watch these to pull apart plot holes, I like the action and ignore most of the shit like that, am just a simple man.

It's the chick writing down those asinine questions.
But yeah - I'm the same - I'm not looking to pick plot-holes, or do anything but sit back and enjoy the dumb action.
I'm just saying that "this was a pivotal moment" when I realised I was watching true trash (and will continue watching it)... to the extent that I actually bothered taking a fucking screenshot.... rather than just slightly silly trash.
Throwing in "the Art Teacher" trope too... sweet. Somebody got paid for writing this... and I want that person to buy me a beer. -

Fearsome, hard bastard by all accounts. Likely that the term “colourful character “ was coined for him.

Is The Diplomat any good ?
Apparently this is the one we were supposed to watch but did The Night Agent instead.
Ten minutes in and it’s not looking promising.
My wife really liked it and recommended it to me. But then she's awfully selective when it comes to sharing memes, so...
