Better half and I have just started watching American Horror story. Halfway through season two. First season set in a haunted house in LA, this one in a mental hospital near Boston.

Anyone else seen it ? pretty well written, some decent frights, fucked up characters etc.

I really liked the first season. Freaked me out a little bit :)

For some reason I didn't finish the second season. It's a little heavier going than my usual fare of DC comic shows + tits and dragons.

Yeah a few decent scares and general feelings of unease all the way through. I think it's very well done, even for a fantasy/ghost story I find it impossible to believe the family didn't cut their losses, think "fuck this" and leave the house around episode 3-4 though. From what I've read each season ( six in total ) can be treated as a separate entity although a couple of characters may show up here and there. You very quickly get used to actors playing different roles. No confusion so far.

finished S2 of Peaky Blinders, really good series, think Tom Hardy is excellent!

Thomas Shelby/Cillian Murphy certainly seems to smoke an awful lot, this show will probably give him cancer!

Also just finished it and same thoughts exactly on all points. Can't wait for the next season! Hardy particularly sensational

Peaky Blinders – really enjoyed this, think Tom Hardy’s character is brilliant, although I wonder if that is largely due to the limited use of him?

Tommy sure gets some nice birds!

Polly annoys me!

Bit of an interesting season finale and obviously set up for S4.

Wow

A magnificent doco and as Canefan said incredible parallels with the cop/blacks violence this week

That US of A can be one fucked up place but the despairing thing is is that it seldom seems to heal itself.

This Doco is well worth a look

We've just started on season 5. Set in a hotel. Jessica Lang isn't in this one, but a number of the other cast members are.

I didn't really enjoy the Asylum series of horror story as much as the others, but the third (set in a New Orleans Coven) and fourth (set in a circus freak show) ones are awesome. It's such a good series. I like the quirk of having the same actors playing different characters in the various series'. It's also quite cool how you can watch the series' out of sequence and not lose anything or miss the plot in any way

Just finished the whole lot, I have to say some excellent acting from a few unfamiliar faces, the young bloke who played Tate/Jimmy/Hotel Owner etc, two headed chick/90s crackhead/ghost reporter and burn victim/cross dresser/dodgy creep trying to steal freaks especially ( can't remember their character names )

I like the Freak Show and Asylum ones best, Hotel was the weakest IMHO but other half loved it. Perhaps cos I'd seen them all up until then I picked the "twists" before they happened.....will say no more as you're still going on that series.

Coven one irked me cos the hot young witch has all these powers she could use......but is easily strangled by the young fella they reassembled ?

I get that not every famous actress has to look like a Supermodel but if anyone can tell me how that female gorilla became a star I'd be most grateful. Fucken enormous bitch. Stick thin model looking chicks may be a bad example to young impressionable girls but so are clinically obese things that would need a fucken forklift to pick up if they ever fell over.

Watched the first 2 eps of Preacher, not that impressed, anyone else watched it deem it worth continuing with?

Finished S2 of Marco Polo, decent series, not quite as good as the first, but good enough.

Stranger Things via Netflix. Loving it.

Think Stephen King re-doing ET as a horror with a touch of Firestarter in there too.

Its set in the early 80s so lots of nostalgia. Even the opening credits and the score invoke the spirit of 80s tv shows.

Watched the first episode of preacher and enjoyed the mayhem. Haven't watched anymore yet but did have a look online to get a better understanding of what the hell its about.

I've been binge watching Fresh Meat while laid up sick. For anyone who is a fan of The Inbetweeners, it's in a similar vein. It also has the actor who played Simon in the Inbetweeners as one of the lead roles.

Definitely a worthwhile watch if you like that sort of comedy.

I've just watched the first two episodes, love it so far. Looks like a "fun" series to watch after the seriousness of GOT etc.

Was one scene in Stranger Things that I jumped at big time, but only small part due to the TV series...TR Jnr materialized form nowhere at 11pm beside me at the exact moment I was expecting something to happen on the TV....

I've watched the first series and a half of Suits, it's pretty fun, despite how fucking ludicrous the premise is.

Found all of Strike Back on the Presto platform. You beauty. It's pretty fucking far from high brow television, but if you enjoy watching ethnics getting shot in the head, followed by some hotty getting her tits out, then this is the show for you. Charles Dance is even in the 2nd season, to give it some star power (he's hamming it up though).

Extremely far fetched. Does Harvey ever lose ? At the moment Mike is in a bit of a love triangle and whichever way it ends up he's onto a winner.
