I wouldn’t say unlikely. They can definitely knock over SA or Ireland on the day, but yeah, by curious quirk of fate three of the top five ranked countries are all in the same pool whereas minnows like Australia and Wales will get a much easier ride.

I wasn't told the full extent of the problems prior to signing
I'm aware of them now
I've taken steps to move in the right direction
I'm very much underplaying our chances in the RWC so if we get beyond the QF stage then everyone will see me as the fantastic coach I think I am -

Crowley's done wonders for Italy - building on the younger players coming thru and turning them into a serious threat against anyone.
