The Flash and Spider-man: Across the Spiderverse.
So Marvel-Sony and DC essentially did an Armageddon/Deep Impact, White House Down/Olympus is Fallen by releasing to very similarly themed movies.
Both movies are multiverse movies (surely the multiverse fad must come to an end soon
), both have multiple versions of characters, and both star actors from the great movie Dope from a few years ago.I was a big fan of the first Spider-man and this one is pretty good too, but, and I I'll spoiler this (edit: spoiler doesn't work, don't read after the dash) but it has little to do with the actual story so up to you if you look -||it's part 1 of a part 2 and just ends, not even really on a cliffhanger and without telling a complete story (like Empire which did both). It's very jarring if you don't know it's coming.|| Also, whereas the visual style of the animation was great and original in the first one I think they overdid it a bit in this version.
The Flash is one of the better of the Snyderverse movies (in case anyone is aware I'm not a big fan of the Snyder movies with the DCEU Snyderverse). Ezra Miller is pretty good in a dual role and obviously Keaton is great as Batman. The visual effects in this movie are ropey as fuck, which is very odd considering they had lots of extra time between shooting and release because Miller is an idiot.
Anyway, both worth a watch if you're in for some switch of your brain mostly fun.

Was really struggling through the prison sequence... and thought "this is going to be UTTER shite... luckily I downloaded The Raid 2 recently" - but once they got past that... I didn't mind it - too much.
Yeah - it's shite. And I get the comparisons... the fucking obsession with bulletproof vests being made of unobtanium or some shit.... so that each fight can just keep going and going - John-Wick-4 stylez.
But - didn't HATE it.- running through the MIDDLE of a fucking prison courtyard riot, with your long-range weapon out... WTF Fucking dumb. Fuck - I've only
playedsolved a very small number of shoot-em-up nerd-games-puzzles, and even I know that I'm sticking to the walls, with my pistol or shotgun out. - Going into a train carriage with pretty well placed embrasures exactly for the purpose of current goal - picking up weaponry exactly suited for that same goal - and then running outside into the open in order to use said weapon... was fucking dumb.
- not back-handing the kid - fucking dumb.
- Tit-watch: zero. Fucking dumb.
- Everything else... pretty fucking dumb. But... it's Extraction II... I wasn't going in expecting Burning Paradise. (Do yourself a favour - watch Burning Paradise.)

Fast and Furious Ten
- It's mostly what one would expect
- It's a Fast and Furious movie
- .. and yeah, when they got to 9 of the sum-bitches... they were bound to do one more - just so they could have an "X" in a title
- It had the best and the worst aspects of a "Fast/Furious" movie
- But when I saw all the shit like a photo clipboard of past scenes... screenshots of previous movies - where nobody could have been there to have taken the photo; and similarly - video-clips... and all the flashbacks... I thought "Okay... this is the Lethal Weapon 4 of the 'franchise' - it's shit, but at least it's a steaming pile of nostalgic shit.

Dungeons & Dragons: Thieves whatever
Halfway through - so bad.
I appreciate that the "structure" of it is pretty good for the source, and I know that there's a whole lot of in-jokes I'm missing, but I don't care... it's still shit.
And tit-watch is zero.
Edit: all the way through the movie... it was still shit.
I have a vague recollection I saw some reviews here which suggested it was a "silly but fun romp".... or something along those lines. That's why I watched it... I normally enjoy "silly but fun romps". This wasn't that. It was just shit. Perhaps if I'd ever played the source-material game I'd get the in-jokes and enjoy it a bit more... but I doubt it. Just... bad. -

New Indiana Jones movie is much better than Crystal Skull. No longer feels like a Mummy film, and has the feel fight. But old Indy is essentially dull. It’s supposed to be an action adventure b-movie, and he can’t do any action so it becomes more character based.
It’s a good enough story, and is perfectly fine. But this should have stopped after Crusade.
3 whips out of 5. 1 of those for nostalgia

I enjoyed it, like all modern blockbusters it was too long but aside from that I thought it was good. But, I'm not the biggest Indy fan around - I haven't seen Crystal Skull - but would still give it 3 without the 1 for nostalgia.
I thought this had the best de-aging so far, much better than The Irishman etc.
Also saw No Hard Feelings with Jennifer Lawerance this week and my @kruse review of it is:

I have vague memories of enjoying this, and pop-culture-websites reminding me it was good, or at least worthy of being "a thing".
It's not... it's shit.
There's so much bad about this, I have no idea why anybody ever thought it was ever good.
Tit-watch: zero.
Currently watching the finale... none of this makes sense, none of the entire movie ever did, this is bad even for a 90s movie.
Edit: fuck, I hope numbers 2 & 3 are better... I recall them being shit, but this is a bad start. -

Am beginning to suspect that Richard Rush's notorious stinker, Color of Night, has been misread since release. If viewed as a parody of erotic thrillers, de Palma movies, and Italian Giallo films, then it is very amusing, including the hilarious miscasting, stupid plot points, and jarring tonal flaws.
One hour in, and have cracked up several times. How bad an actor is Scott Bakula!
Rush made genre spoof comedies for most of his career, and this seems like he was hired to make a Basic Instinct rip-off, but made one of his own type of movies instead.

saw it last night...loved it....comfortably sits alongside the first 3 for me
we have puzzles, zomb raiding, trains, fights on train, lots of nazis getting their arses kicked, and a tiny bit of "magic" at the endthey address indy's age perfectly but we also get young indy for a long opening sequence, they address shia whats his names character not being in it and actually make it part of his character development...there is little i would have changed....I might have been tempted to leave him in the past, seems like an acceptable end to the character, also nice he ends up with an are appropriate love interest and the same Marion from the first one, didn't re cast a much younger actress or jam in a new love interest into this one
