@Tordah i love Tomas Lavanini. My fav Argy. À proper munter. Just wish he would curb some of his desire to wreck blokes and channel it toward ball in hand skills.

Makes sense to see how D Mac runs the ship?? How many games do you think we have before the World Cup? If BB is a FB why wasn’t he playing there all SR. I get that some players need a rest, but this is a weird team. Ofa and Casey’s little brother should have been gone a long time ago. I think Fozzie is up to his same old tricks and we’re going to see the same old results. I would love to be proven wrong.
@Darth-Sader this is the shit they should have done 2 years ago but because Foz is Foz, we're two years behind in our development and we're a handful of tests before getting smoked by France and a QF exit.
-
Which top level test sides would the following get a game for in 2023?
Coles
Lord
Frizzell
BB
Vaai
Christie
EnnorHell even JB at 12?
While i.get this isn't the first 23, it's still super average
I hope they play well, but shit....@mariner4life i think that sums things up nicely

This line-up - with a few unavoidable exceptions - just seems to give as many Chiefs and Crusaders players as possible another week "off" after the SRP final.

Seems like it.
I'm pretty surprised not to see Retallick somewhere in the 23 - and I'm not that comfortable with it, but welcome to 2024. Big test for Lord.
On reflection, Coles at hooker makes some sense - and Taylor on the bench maybe signalling that's where he'll be spending most of his time.
Otherwise pretty close to what I expected. I thought Richie might start - wonder if DMac will do the same as at the Chiefs and go to fullback for the last 20? I'd prefer he play the whole 80 at first five and RM watch from the bench, but that doesn't seem to be the way of the world - Fozzie's anyway.
With ALB's ban, I don't think we have specialist cover for both 2nd five and centre. The alternative - McLeod for Ennor - doesn't properly cover centre.

I’m gutted for Stevenson. What does that guy have to do to get a break?

I understood the narrative on here that maybe a week with the coaches learning the system would stand him in good stead and he'd get a gig later on. Too risky to lose first game up etc.
But every other tom, dick and harry got an audition. Lads who have stank the shirt out getting another go.
Fozzie rolled the dice like I always wanted, but in all the wrong ways!

@Victor-Meldrew thing is, a lot of that experience is not exactly the experience that is in top form.

And what happens if Jordie crocked?
That is a bit weird. Ennor?
We are down 3 2nd 5s - ALB, Havili and QT.
Ioane has played some 12 in his time so I guess he’s the back up.

Rieko at 12 :anxious_face_with_sweat:
This is supposed to be the greatest Rugby nation on Earth. How have we come to this.
Nonu is kicking drop goals in the US aged 41.....and Rieko is our cover at 12 after all these years.
Fuck me pink.

Foster you stupid kant
its the most batshit mental few years of Allblack management I have ever seen.
There is no pattern, rhyme or reason to this when you look at his tenure as a whole.
Injury is his best selector.
I do not understand the latest iteration of the Allblacks. It's just a bizarre project to me these days.
I don't get it.

Thank Fuck, the mind explosions of the Fozzie era just keep coming.

I love it an AB named and plenty of keyboard warriors upset. It means we all care , even if we have no idea of why players are picked etc. And of course if we liked the selections we would of noted the influence of Ryan and Schmidt. I guessing Boks board will be in simalr mode, and I already has texts form mates in Aus going crook about Hodge, Wright etc etc in their backline! Its good.

@Dan54 oh well, just be thankful it's almost over, and next year we will have other stuff to moan about...Cantab bias, didnt win by a hundred points etc

Ryan will be getting the forward pack he wants.
I’ll be very surprised if we lose this game because of the back selections. It’s a bit shit, I agree, but if we lose it will be on the forwards (maybe Dmac if he completely shits the bed).
I’m a bit pissed to not see Finau there, I assume he’ll get a go against Oz or even SA.
I don’t think Stevenson gets capped. Roigard maybe.
Looking at the AB15 team, I think there are some players in that team who are ahead of some in the ABs (or will be when it comes to WC selections).

Problem is Foster doesn't even have any idea why he selects players,I am sure he uses the dartboard method, that is pretty clear over the Foster error oops era.
@Chris come on, we know he does it based on player ratings from "EA Rugby 16"
