Yeah, we binge watched this a few months back. Faithful remake of the Rupert Davies 1960's Maigret - which is def. no bad thing

Seen the Rowan Atkinson Maigret? Different vibe and characterisation but really, really good.

Haven't seen it, but a friend said that it was "not bad".

It's very different. Atkinson's Maigret is more cerebral and introspective - and his acting is brilliant. Slower pace with a world-weary Maigret (think Morse)

    Heed what the man says.

Simenon gave great source material, the stories are just great. All three TV series were very well written, plotted and acted.

    Watch any of them.

Quite simply the best TV I've seen in years. If it keeps this up, it'll challenge TTSS as the best of all time

In Limbo: Created by Lucas Taylor. With Ryan Corr, Bob Morley, Emma Harvie, Russell Dykstra. It follows Charlie and Nate as they face how hard it is to let go of those they love, especially when they are taken too soon and when they come back to haunt you.

    Excellent

    Yep. Can confirm.

    Episode 3 of Hijack

    The plot thickens

    Get on board

Just binged on the three episodes thus far and have to agree. It's excellent television.

I don't remember Jack Ryan being this awfully cheesy in the first couple of seasons.

Two minutes in and I get sight of a baddie. He's wearing a black turtle neck and a suit jacket, so he's definitely a baddie.

The Lincoln Lawyer second season is good solid fun so far.

    Black Mirror is inconsistent.

Shows like Black Mirror are always going to be inconsistent. The stories and ideas are so different and speculative they are not going to appeal/not appeal to everyone.

What streamer is this on? Justwatch doesn't seem to have this listed but they have 3 different shows called In Limbo.

Ah cheers, I didn't even think to look at the free ones. Hmmm, I hope that one of the paid streamers pick it up though, quality is sometimes an issue with the free channels, they tend to think 720p is good enough quality.

We watched first 2 episodes on iview last night. Viewing quality was fine. Can’t say we loved the show though - the dead dude is a touch annoying, and the lack of realistic conversations grated. Maybe the reasons come later, but the lack of questions asked just made it seemed so unrealistic

Just did the first 3 epidodes of Hijack.
Pretty unhappy I can't do another 3 tomorrow night.
    Yeah... pretty good.
But - very first scene... took an immediate dislike to protagonist. Standing, still, in the middle of a "walkalator" (is that what they're called?) ... fluffybunny. Right in the fucking middle. And there was a guy right behind him too. What a dick.

@Kruse I take it you're not planning on heading back to the UK via Heathrow anytime soon. Your head will explode.

@Bones I enjoy the accelerated-walking-machines (is that what they're called?) in Heathrow... love striding down them manfully and feeling the wind in my face.
But if the norm has become to stand still in the middle of them... I might be finding a way to smuggle a knife into my luggage...

Actually... it's been a while.. maybe I do remember a fair few people just taking a rest on them. And me doing the classic British "harrrumph" behind them, and then muttering, and sometimes even passive-aggressively "excuse-me"-ing... until they wake the fuck up and get the fuck out of my way.

@Kruse make sure you accidentally bash their suitcase with yours when it's planted in the middle too.
