I am surprised (if AB stats can be believed) how (comparatively) light he is though. 8kgs less than Rieko and lighter than ALB

96kg? An old stat I think

There's an article from 2018 saying he added 7kgs after he came back from a shoulder injury and was 103kgs.
There's sources now saying he's 106kg which seems right

ABs website is indicative of how well NZR has moved forward with fan engagement, it's always out of date and crap. I guess once a profile is on, apart from the number of games etc stats, it is left as is

How the All Blacks broke Argentina open with Jordie Barrett

How the All Blacks broke Argentina open with Jordie Barrett

Barrett has quickly become the answer at No 12 which has changed the whole dynamic of the backline. Foster has the second five he needs to run his playbook.

Was a real master stroke of Foster putting Jordie there. Ridiculous it took a series of freak injuries for it to happen.

I don’t think it’s that ridiculous. He was still the best fullback in the squad with DMac unavailable. I think the move would’ve happened quicker had DMac still been playing.

It was once Fozzie made the decision that Richie was the starting 1st 5 that gave them the option to move Beaudie and then Jordie.

I’m no expert on warfare, can anyone explain why they have guards IN the moat? I always thought higher ground was a thing…

Well the moat should be filled with water to begin with 🙂

Well a very surprising start to the season. Forward pack was dominant and the backline gelled well.

Good to see Coles and BB winding back the years and Frizzle playing a dominant game in the set piece as well as at the ruck and carry.

RI and JB looking good in the midfield and Smiths combination with Macca was excellent and a galaxy ahead of Christie and RM).

Starting line-up all gave themselves a big tick for the first choice team, everyone off the bench didn't do themselves any favors, game gone and all that but very little positive impact from any of them.

Next week against SA a very big test especially for the forward pack.

In short I'm feeling a little more optimistic about the AB's this year than what I was after SR 🙂

Thought Taylor played very well. But I might be comparing that to Taylor last year.

    Yeah, but he's faster....

Seriously though, he and Reiko have worked out a good understanding and his playing continuously at 12 in SR this year will have benefited him. Be happy with a no-frills performance in midfield this WE. Against the Boks that'll do just fine.
