    What's the problem with Mika breastfeeding if the plumbing all works?

    We. Need. More. Transphobia. Here

    Like not many places left now to stay this stuff. They've all been captured by young people or Stonewall

    MumsNet is great though, I love it there for the trans bashing too

    Florida is doing a great job. Trans folk are leaving in thousands there now De Santis is doing quite a job on them

    @Victor-Meldrew Full depth vulvoplasty, shallow depth vulvoplasty, orchiectomy...

    Which ones float your boat?

    They should all be banned imo

    @booboo

    I actually don't have a problem with that per se and agree with what she has said about the abuse she received. If people with gender dysphoria want to fully transition and it works for them, that's OK by me and they should be respected.

    it's the fuckwits who demand you think you can change sex in your head and if you don't agree with them you are an evil transphobe who deserve a smack in the mouth who are the problem.

    @Victor-Meldrew How about if you don't have genital dysphoria but want HRT and other stuff but not vulvoplasty, orchies or bottom surgery

    Perverts right?

    Disagree, Gender dysphoria is a real and serious problem for small number of people (it actually kills thru suicide) and if transitioning works for people suffering from it then fine by me - all power to them and they deserve respect and support.

    The issue is people taking the piss, changing gender when it suits them and that impacting (mainly) on women's rights. They seem to be mainly aggressive men with an autogynopilia issue. in my book bugger all difference between them and the morons who think a Lesbian only needs a good seeing-to to be cured .

    Like most biological things, a continuum. If people want to do that and medics say it helps them, then fine - just as long as it doesn't impact on the rights of others such as binary people.

    Para 1 I disagree with entirely. As I'm now an expert on this having read Twitter the "plumbing" only produces a poor substitute secretion, which is full of the chemicals and hormones he has had to ingest in order to produce a fake alternative, which will adversely affect the baby. The only reason he is doing this is to affirm his delusional fetish.

    Agree with Para 2.

    As it harms the baby you are absolutely right. I had assumed that as a mother (biological or otherwise) she wouldn't want to do that.

    @MiketheSnow

    She's a rare and interesting case. Intersex and assigned female at birth and isn't trying to be what she isn't - unlike Lia Thomas.

    It's a tricky one and according to what you read, people have tried their best to resolve the issue even though it's been a bit cack-handed at times. Not helped by the Sth African government screaming racism either.

    Plus she would have made a better Predator than JCVD and they would have saved on the suit.

    Women shouldn’t have to compete against her. The argument from South Africans that her internal testes is no different to Ian Thorpes massive feet giving him an advantage is pathetic too .

    There were three top female runners from Africa who turned out to be intersex . She was the most famous, I couldn’t find the thirds name although I didn’t look too hard . I’d feel some sympathy for them if they didn’t hide behind politics/racism when they were told they couldn’t compete against women who didn’t have testosterone coursing through their veins .

    Ugandan middle-distance runner Annet Negesa was preparing for the London Olympics when she was told she had high testosterone levels. What followed effectively ended her career and up-ended her life. Now she's speaking out.

    Due to the outcry about this landwhale police are investigating. I wouldn’t expect much though

    @paremata

    The IAAF agrees with you on competing against women and has tried to find a solution with supressing testosterone levels which seems sensible. Then the "racist!" shouting started...

    Some of the arguments like foot size and racism are quite dumb but this case isn't black and white (no pun intended) as she's intersex and been assigned female sex at birth. Think this is a genuinely difficult case and can see both sides of the argument.

    As an aside, an elite runner tells me this issue can cut both ways as females are physiologically better at ultramarathons than men - an intersex man with xx chromosomes would have an advantage over other men.
