Recently did a long haul trip with the family, got a chance to watch a bunch of movies (nowhere near the level of the lists above)
Champions. Story of a washed up basketball coach (Woody Harrelson) who serves community service by coaching a basketball team of players with intellectual disabilities. Heart warming, feel good story, I did enjoy it, 4 pick n rolls out of 5 big sister booty calls
Wait, what?

@Rancid-Schnitzel I hope that basic action movies like Plane still make money. They are an instant watch for me.
Enjoyed seeing a letterboxd review start with this:
This one got off to a rocky start because I lost my license and was refused a Bud Light at the theater

Gerard Butler = the latest Bruce Willis, Liam Neeson dial it in performer.
That’s insulting to those two.

According to IMDB, Den of Thieves 2 is in post production. Gerard Butler's "Big Nick" is back.
looool that movie SUCKED
Someone watched Heat and The Usual Suspects and tried to combine them, and ended up making a parody. Fuck it was bad.

It was only awful compared to Heat which is a masterpiece.
If you try and not compare it I reckon it was a decent action flick. Old mate from Orange is the New Black was a good baddie.

Watched all of the Mission Impossible in order to catch up before seeing the latest. Apart from the second movie, they're eminently watchable and entertaining. Even the leaps of logic and technological license aren't as irritating as I normally find them.
The second movie really is trash though. The cinematography looks like a drunk undergrad's work.

I agree. The second one (was that John Woo?) was a piece of shit

They are, but it's the quality that sets them apart IMO. The action scenes they clearly put tremendous effort into.
And for a bloke that's wealthy as fuck from make believe, Tom doesn't mind taking risk in getting that action entertainment onto the screen.

Risk? Yes, the potential fall from those elevator shoes looks super dangerous!
