@Tim Yeah, I know, and he's supposed to stay for NPC if he's not in the RWC squad, but it has happened more than once that a player left for their overseas' club before the NPC finals.

@Higgins Yeah, was thinking the same thing, but I guess they may use Tiatia at 12 and Lowe at 13, if needed.

@Higgins Auckland has had plenty of stuff on Instagram about the NPC team - training photos etc - but nothing about this game, so maybe it was a mistake or cancelled?

A friend of mine on Facebook who lives in Taupo now,attended a game there yesterday but the photos are very unclear.One team looks like Auckland but the other team wore sky blue jerseys.

@kiwimatrix The Magpies seem to have blue training jerseys. I wouldn't call it sky blue, but it's still blue.

@kiwimatrix If it's from a FB feed, on a computer, right-click on the photo and chose "copy image". Then right-click and paste here. Don't left-click on the photo first, because then usually the photo is bigger and if you try to paste that here, you usually get the message that the file is too large to post.

@kiwimatrix If we don't overthink things, the sky blue is surely Northland... though quite why they would play Auckland in Taupo? Unless of course it was a game of three halves at the end of a training camp.

Magpies v Auckland was 29-29 draw.

Brad Weber and Isaia Walker-Leawere did not play.

Non-squad members who played were Ryo Kikkawa, Bethel Malasia and Paoraian Manuel-Harman.

Just happened to be passing Park Island during a very brief visit back home yesterday and miraculously found the very things Mr. James has been looking for all season :glasses:
