Who is now in the Top 4 in the 1A? AGS have found some form in the second half of the competition.

Do 1A get a direct entry?

No, I mean the Top 4 for their SFs.

Ah right. I thought it was a bit early.

Auckland 1A still has one round to go, but their current top 3 are certain already: St Kent's, Sacred Heart and Auckland Grammar. Fourth place can still change with De La Salle and St Peter's on the same number of competition point and Kelston 2 points less.

In the last round, De La Salle has the easiest game against KIng's, while St Peter's and Kelston play each other.

In theory, Sacred Heart and AGS can still swap positions. They play each other in the last round.

The Counties play off for Top Four is on Friday 4th of August
    Wesley Vs Pukekohe High School

Wesley are last and ranked lower than Manurewa High School in the Auckland fifteens comp. PHS came second in the counties 10's comp.

@mikedogz The Hurricanes girls' semi-finals are next Wednesday (9 August), but not sure which schools are playing. Manukura (Palmerston North) will be one of them and probably St Mary's College (Wellington), but the others?

@Bovidae Hmmm, that would mean they skip the semi-finals. Not that I'd give Feilding HS and Hastings Girls' much chance to reach the final, but IIRC they were the other semi-finalists, last year.

Manurewa might be focusing on defending their League title they won last year.

In the CNI, Wesley can still sneak into the SFs if they win their postponed game against St John's Hastings. It sounds like they had a dose of home-town refereeing against FDMC.

@Bovidae St John's Hastings is a really weak team (even more so this year), so Wesley will win that game easily.

There's conflicting info, but I think that game will be played on Wednesday in Hastings.

I'm also not sure what the tie-breaker is, wins or PD. Wesley and St Peter's drew so it won't be who beat who.

    @Bovidae 1. Head to Head
    2. Points Difference
    3. Points Scored
    4. Ballot

Wesley beat St John's Hastings by lots, as expected, so will be travelling to St John's Hamilton for the semi-final. A tough call, given the amount of travelling they have done recently. But they did win the head-to-head.

St Paul's only coming sixth won't go down well at the school!

@Chester-Draws The CNI play the final in Taupō, so not really a home field advantage.

St John's vs Wesley will be a good game, as both have similar strengths with some big, physical ball-carriers.

They play the final in Taupo, but not the semis.
