I was at Sweden v Argentina last night - fairly ho-hum game with Sweden playing within themselves, Argentina neat and tidy but up front neither quick enough or big enough to worry Sweden. Sweden v USA will be a feisty game, both teams lack a lot of quality but they don't lack size.

Jamaica go through without conceding a goal - seems to be the theme of this World Cup, a lot of teams are tough to break down.

Wow, Korea start off hot and almost score on Germany after 2.5 minutes played. Great touch from a 16 year old Korean attacker. Coach showing the kind of courage to play youth that ours did not

The captain heads Germany level. They aren't convincing right now, and their defence is loose enough that Korea have been able to find holes. Germany will want to get ahead to avoid any last minute shockers

I can't believe how low energy and inaccurate the Germans have been in a must win game. Koreans going all out with aggressive pressing. It will be interesting to see how long they can keep it up

@canefan Germany looked clueless at the start and not surprising Korea scored.
They've grown into the game and dominating possession, while looking a bit ponderous.

Probably deserved to be all square, but you could easily see the Koreans pouncing on a loose pass at the back, while Germany are playing among themselves.

If the Germans start winning a few corners they might be able to use their size to do what Sweden did to Italy.

That should light a fire under them. Like the US before them though, Germany are struggling to dominate possession and aren't creating a lot of quality chances out of it, so far anyway. Another team lacking cutting edge

The longer this goes on, the tighter and more prone to a mistake will Germany get. Two midfielders come on, don't they want to bring on some attackers?

Germany only seem to be looking for their aerial attack via the captain Popp. They have 20 minutes to unlock a Korean team who have parked the bus, but I can't recall a shot on goal, just a few headers

The Germans starting to smell the stench of historic failure

I can't believe the German coach isn't throwing everything at the Koreans now. Or maybe this is all they've got?
