Most MSM today is crap. As a Kiwi living in Oz I like to keep up to date with what is happening in Christchurch and was recently agast when Stuff put up a paywall, fortunately it got taken down.

Which is worse, the crap stuff articles or the NZ herald articles that are apparently premium but in cost only. I don't know and I can't even blame newscorp anymore as everywhere is dire.

I still prefer finding out about things from MSM then, if it interests me, searching further for other sides to stories.
MSM organisations will have an editorial bias but at least you know how far it is slanted

I pretty much just use Reuters - so typically the story before any "Media Outlet" mangles it into the version they want to present.
Of course - not really much use for NZ-level stories.
Although I did just see that one of their latest stories is "New Zealand launches space policy, notes growing strategic competition"

I’m not sure this list is quite woke enough. No room for Marama Davidson or Chloe Swarbrick. You’d think they’d get in ahead of Rachel Hunter and Lucy Lawless who you’d think would be a bit too “Hollywood” and “Milf” for this company…..
