Very dramatic although I could have done with getting to bed after 90 minutes. Wanted USA to go through solely because Sweden aren't very exciting to watch and I'm heading to Eden Park to see them. At 3-2 up in the pens, USA managed to fail to hit the target 3 times out of 4 - that's letting your goalkeeper and your team down badly. No idea why Rapinoe hasn't already retired - laughing after missing a penalty will make sure she gets lots of US abuse in the near future.

They already got a lot of shit for the equal pay thing and even more so the not singing the national anthem issue. She is the lightning rod for that. But in truth they played 3 games and couldn't score a field goal. Just didn't have much of an edge up front
