Damn, that's a huge result. Looks like Northland and Auckland both benefitted from a few weeks with their new coaches.

@Tim staggering i did not see this coming , i know the team were very flat after the Southland result and given the injuries it was going to be a massive task taking on a very good mako team
but the way they started set the tone and that defensive effort was next level.
Easily the best 80 minute Taniwha peformance i have seen in a very long time.
Injuries are still a concern but confidence is an amazing thing
Great day alround with the Auckland boys getting back on the horse.

The breakdown is always a complete mess with Pickerill but Northland were rewarded for being more aggressive. A great effort on defence.
