There’s definitely a world where I can see Fehi in the ABs. He’s been on fire all season for BOP.

He was strong for Hurricanes too (as well as AB 7s). Should be on the radar.

@Grooter I love watching an 8 hit it up like he does, this is something we lack in the ABs, so often our guys slow as they come into contact or step into it looking for the 50-50 off load or quick recycle which rarely happens with today's defences.and our cleaning.

Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory, two weeks running.

Willie is usually a pretty reliable kicker. First one from wide out hitting the post was unlucky. Should've made the second.

Looked like someone slipped over in front of the posts to give up the turnover when we were possibly setting for a drop kick.

    Why not now?

Good enough on attack. Needs to play more to tidy up some of his defence/decision making

    EOYT makes sense

I have to admit, he looks a bit casual in his positioning on defense.

On the whole a reasonably good performance. Which we should have won.

It is amazing what three or four class players can do at NPC level. Lio-Willie was immense and Bower lifted the team when he came on. Pledger is already a dominant player at this level.

Nareki's display defensively was top notch. Really led the way.

The team defensive effort again was fantastic.

Thought it was Te Hiwi's best game.

Apart from his dumb shit play running behind a player. Bell proved, again he is a capable player at this level. See, Guardian of the Bell boys. Compliments where they are due.

Casey showed he will be interchangeable with Lasaqa with rhe Landers. Such similar players.

Apart from the penalty at the end, was Wingham's best game in a longtime.

On the negative. Jeez Sammy Gilbert and Millar can make some simple errors.

On the whole, this Otago side is doing what it was building towards for a while. It should be there at rhe business end of the year.

Pledger and Casey were v good. How heavy is Casey? Looked a little light in contact a few times but also don’t want to sacrifice the speed he has

huge drop off from our 1st 4 props to the 5th and 6th...

I was starting to get a bit concerned, but our scrum got better with KSM and probably Leppien and your's got worse and that was the difference.

We'd given a few penalties away at the start of the second half to help piggyback Northland back into contention, but then the scrum penalties eased the pressure.

    Rugby's gone soft.

An outside back gets done for roughing up a prop.

I thought both the Wramplings looked handy over the past couple of weeks. Been a bit if talk about them, it was good to finally get to see them play.

Just nice to see Gideon free from injury after a couple of tough seasons. If he can stay on the field then I have very high hopes.

@Chris-B Mate it's the shield, and shit happens. As I said you want to change to something it never was and I like it being special. I want it to keep it's mistique, let's just leave it at that.
I enjoy tradional things in game and I think it's been changed enough.

Craig Goodman - I've got his book - The rise and all of Nelson Bays rugby.

Here's the Mark Milne try he refers to.

These days they'd be looking long and hard at a knock on at the base of the ruck!

That first try by Tavatavanawai is worth a look.

Probably a 14 point swing if he misses!
