My Raiders finally finished a match stronger than the opposition. Will be a good fight with Broncos next week with top 8 on the line. The kiwi trio of Rapana Timoko and Tapine were in great form today.

    @ARHS It's only the Bulldogs.

Roosters will come in for Souths who will fall out of the 8. Souths will also lose Latrell for the Roosters clash and their season is already on life support.

I'd want to avoid the Knights with the way they're currently playing.

Absolute grub. When his team is losing, he’s shown that he can’t handle it and has these brain explosion moments

Things sorted themselves out this weekend
Penrith and Brisbane will finish top 2
The Warriors will be Top 5 at worst, and should lock in top 4 against the Dragons this weekend.
The Storm and the Sharks are battling for fourth, and Canberra's points diff will see them finish outside the 4.
Newcastle are not safe yet, but they are flying, and still have the Dragons.
Souths are in trouble. One game left, it's against the Roosters, and it is looking like an elimination final. Given Latrell may miss, they will not start favourites.
The Cowboys and the Roosters just have to win out, but only one of those sides has any form.

Based on the last couple of weeks, you expect Newcastle and the Roosters to make it, while Souths and the Cowboys get early mad monday

@mariner4life pretty much summed it up

Warriors also need to be careful, Dragons looked better in last two weeks than any game previous. Given our for and against is very similar to Melbourne and Cronulla, just need to keep winning. Home final would be great.

Souths in trouble, but I am going to say Latrell won't miss it, he went for a grub shot, pretty much missed and hit his back, I don't think they will make him miss a match for that.

Newcastle looking like a team you wouldn't want to run into heading to the finals, but I don't think they're at Brisbane, Penrith level. Those two teams are just at another level.

....and Parramatta although their season over they may just have the kid with the best name in the NRL next year, it appears Will Penisini has a younger brother Richard lol

I assume Souths are on the phone to Farrell's legal team.

@bayimports Will the whole intent argument go the other way in this case? Usually it’s used to say why an incident isn’t as bad because there was “no intent” to hurt etc. But in this one Latrell clearly did a dog act for no other reason to get a cheap shot in. The tackle had been completed and he comes in late with the elbow. The intent was there no doubt about it, the execution just a little off…

Still a grub even if he gets a fine.

Just to add, I hate Souths and they are right up there with the Storm for my hatiest teams 😉

I wouldn't bother if I were Souths. The wheels have completely fallen off and they'd only be making up the numbers if they somehow scrape in to the finals.

I've been waiting all season for the wheels to fall off the Warriors and so far it hasn't happened, it's quite unsettling and unusual to say the least.

From 15th to 3rd (I think that’s where we will finish) is an amazing turnaround.

We have a good level headed coach, a spine that have played fairly consistently and doesn’t just wilt under pressure, a forward pack that do the little things and work hard for the metres, and like previous quality Warrior sides, an outside back that is amongst the top try scorers in the comp.

Yep it certainly is an impressive turn around, SJ back in form has certainly helped but I think just as importantly he has people in the team that help him out now instead of everything having to come from him.

I'm glad for the fans who have certainly suffered enough over the last few years.

My thoughts were based on good luck proving intent versus the reality that he clearly lost it. They generally can only rule on what is in front of them and as @Nepia says, if you get a good lawyer then this one appears easier to mitigate..

    Fuuuuuck Penrith

    Hot takes at half time:
Cleary is nowhere near the MVP at Penrith, it's Edwards and the outside backs (I've always thought it was Edwards)
A team only turning up once the season is done fucking sucks for fans
Clint gutherson looks like he has been rescued from the matrix
The Cowboys might be fucked next weekend

Oh also Penrith are so kissed on the dick
They've used 25 players all year despite having half a team play origin

    Penrith lose, no biggy
Penrith losing Luia for a while might be.

Biggest losers from last night were probably the Cowboys, who now no matter what they do against the Dolphins, will probably not get Penrith's reserves next weekend like they hoped.

Parra beat Penrith twice this year and miss the eight.. hard to believe when teams like Souths, Raiders etc are still live
