Is it just me or did Hansen become a smug arrogant fluffybunny towards the end of his tenure?

Pre the World Cup loss, his 2018-2019 interviews started sounding like some philosopher-king of rugby rather than a simple rugby coach.

Seems to be in it for the $$ (although it says he's not being paid).

He was obviously on the payroll of that rebel hybrid competition thingy that raised it's head a year or so back.

He's already dead to me for his dalliance with recruiting players for an Aussie league team.

Because he never really needed to coach

Don't know why it's even news. It happens often. Didn't Henry help the Oumas etc? Most of these coaches are mates and I sure Hansen is only casting eyes over what Eddie is doing, and not actually taking training etc.
Boy talk about strom in a teacup.

Ireland’s gun hooker Sheehan has picked up an injury. Maybe 6-8 weeks out.

Since when are the Pumas (Oumas?) in any way comparable to the Wallabies in terms of fierce rivalry? Winning (or rather retaining) the Bled is massive every year. Do we even have a trophy that we compete with the Oumas for?

For a "grassroots true rugby man" such as yourself, that's surprising to hear.

'Rugby is bigger than all of us': Steve Hansen confirms why he is helping Wallabies

'Rugby is bigger than all of us': Steve Hansen confirms why he is helping Wallabies

Former All Blacks head coach Steve Hansen has joined New Zealand radio personality Mike Hosking from Paris to clear up reports the coach has joined the Wallabies.

@Stargazer you'd think alot of the IP he as in and around the squad will be redundant now anyway after 4 years since his involvement, you'd also expect he is professional enough to keep any 'trade secrets', well, secret.

I guess if he can help make Aus rugby stronger again thats a good thing isnt it?

Ffs he's spending a couple of days with Auusies, Henry was actually part of Pumas set up whie they were playing ABs in RC. It's like when coaches go to workshops etc, I pretty sure Hansen is not going to be helping Wallabies with tips on AB stuff. You know even while he was coaching ABs Hansen was talking to Eddie every week, and when the ABs played Boks would go for a mael with Bok coach, I never thought it a problem then and don't now. And will add Wallabies are hardly fierce rivals that title belongs to Springboks etc.

Why? It's a storm in a teacup. He's spending a few days with them, probably picking Eddie's brain as much as Eddie picking his. I will bet anything he's not actually running coaching etc, or setting up tactics etc.
I think you will find NZR and RA work together and help each other in different ways.
Add to that he spoke to Foster before he did too.
