Finished Wolf.
Pretty good series, a couple of twists in there, worked it out to a point, but not completely.
Didnt pick the daughter being involved until later, thought it was going to be the cop, as you knew she was hiding something, although once you found it was just hiding the fact she knew the guy they put in prison was 'innocent', the daughter came into it.Picked early that he was the 'boss'
Assume left open for a 2nd series with possibility his brother is alive, or at least get him justice?
Thought Iwan Rheon was excellent

Jerry West is one of the best "characters" on telly.

Justified: City Primeval
- Pretty much what it says on the tin. "What would happen if Raylan Givens got caught up in a Detroit ruckus?"
- I haven't read the original book/story - so don't know how true to it it was, but judging by style and dialogue - I'm guessing "pretty well".
- Perhaps the storyline of the sexual attraction to what would traditionally be thought of as a less-than-attractive larger woman will grate some. But I'm sure we can just dismiss those people as racist. Fucking racists.
- Daughter's voice was fucking annoying. Had to lean in to hear anything she husk-whispered, then regret it because it was teenager bullshit.
The ending seemed like a straight up hollywood arse-covering "we might want to make some more $$$ from this"... by mashing together bits from other stories. And while it felt cheap, I can't criticise it TOO much, because I would like to see some more cash-grabs from the "franchise".

I was ultimately disappointed by the series, while still finding it watchable, but the comparison with the original was always there despite the fact I was actively trying not to do that. But so much of what makes Justified so awesome was the wider cast and the setting.
The last 20 mins of the show were the best with Boyd AND Winona, but all it did was make me want to watch whatever that series would be.I like Holdbrook as an actor but he's getting very type cast as an unhinged bad guy who doesn't care about anything.
Agree on the daughter's voice, initially I thought she was supposed to be on the spectrum but that appears to just be her voice.
Also, pissed me off it wasn't dropped as a series. I was bingeing and then the handbrake was engaged and I had to wait a week for the finale.

Feels like they've toned him down in S2 - same with Kareem, he's way less of a douche in S2
Great viewing

Yeah, like I said there is a danger for me that it could get like that. I’m definitely enjoying it so far though.

The Woman in the Wall (BBC)
The much-hyped BBC thriller based in Ireland using the Magdalene Laundries as a backdrop and starring Ruth Wilson.
Very dark (but that's just the bad photography) and slow-paced (because it's in rural Ireland). It's got modern BBC production values (the hero lead detective is black with a poor-kid-made-good background), honest (the stereotype local cops are thick as pig-shit) and makes a social comment (It has strong Irish accents).
In short, disappointing, formulaic TV.

I wish I was - looked forward to it as Ruth Wilson is brilliant. So disappointing.
