I said it in the first half. This is a rope-a-dope. Other than the first 10 mins, they just kicked the ball deep and the ABs said "maybe this time we'll get it back" or I'll run it from my own line". Time and time again. I can't wait for the presser. "In many ways this was our best test. Foster, just PHUCK OFF. NZRU, would Razor had done any worse? Phucking embarrassment.

Discipline will go a long way to winning the RWC, we don't have it, French discipline and patience was excellent

When you have opportunities you need to put scoreboard pressure on in the that first 40 because the home side wil always make a run in the second 40

Congrats to France. Won the game in the 2nd half.
I expected the French to win, so not too disappointed (as far as you can not be disappointed after an AB loss).
I actually expected France to be more dominant. They scored mostly off our mistakes, not because they created much.

Id launch Beaudy, Mo'unga, Vaai, ALB,Nepo, Christie for a start.
Give me DMAC. Move Jordan to 15. Roigard has to be in.

France didn't anything other than kick deep. All they needed to do. Our braindead team and tactics tried to run/short kick from our 22. Phucked up and France pinned us back down again. They didn't play until deep into the 2nd half. All the territory was from long kicks.

But it's not the forwards putting up contestables from our 22 then having to defend when they lose the ball. It's going to work against Italy etc and then Foster will come out and say, "told ya it works."
Its the same game they played against SA and humped.

Wow, well done France.Forwards went OK, except for scrums, lineouts, ruck work and defence.
Backs were alright except for tackling, kicking and contesting the bombs.ON the bright side, there's plenty of opportunity to go upf rom here
Seriously, though, key moment at the ned of the first half. 9-8 and instead of applyng pressure to tired forwards, we try for a hero play. It's the mindset in this team - no patience. SF is a win for us, QF exit is likely.
