If it was all 8’s and 9’s in reality they would have won 150-0

Yes, it’s hard to disagree m. In fact it has been said on this forum for some time.
Kearney is right but it’s a little disingenuous as the 2015 team was probably the greatest side to ever play the game with all time greats throughout the side.
You can’t use that as a stick to beat the current team because they don’t have 6 all time greats in the team.
Interesting that Kearney listed Israel Dagg in his list of generational players. I don't have him on the same level of the pantheon as the others he listed. I'll put this here.
Israel Dagg 26 tries in 66 tests
Will Jordan 25 tries in 27 testsAlthough they're long in the tooth, Coles, Retallick, Whitelock, Smith, Beauden are all generational players. Sam Cane not far behind.
What will we be saying in 10 years about Lomax, Big Sami, SBarrett, Ardie, Roigard, Jordie, Reiko, Telea, Jordan? Especially if we happen to win this World Cup.
I think this squad is arguably as strong as 2011 - not 2015, but as you say that was a phenomenal team - which could've lost to the Boks in the semi.

The thing is though, other countries squads have become much stronger
6-7 players in that 2011 squad would have been in contention for a World XV with 4 being absolute certainties. Of this squad I'd say 3 or 4 with Ardie being the only shoe-in.

It is good that the official one had Reiko at 4, which is about right. Hopefully that is his stinker for the year

Finally, finally get to see them actually execute things successfully and it was fun to watch. Im still a bit cautious it papers over some cracks and not convinced a decent team will give us that many chances...but we might be ok
Italy were very poor though, overthrown lineouts, holding the ball penalties, very soft defence...sad to see them not really give it a go
some saying its not the hard game we might have needed, i actually think given the key guys coming back from injury...and the need for a win to get some confidence up...that was good

Yin a performance that has been that good, Ioane has been incredibly poor. He is not a centres arse and never has been, real issue there that has been obvious to most for quite some time.
It’s All Black tradition to have a non centre playing 13 at a World Cup. Foster to his immense credit started the transition early with Ioane.
you're right and hadn't really thought about it much....NZ really does have a bigger problem developing centers if we have to move outside backs there this often

I think you're being generous with your world xv.
Genuinely not sure who'd make it. Ardie perhaps, if you've got a very specific game plan and other loosies.
Who else you got? Can't see the pack doing it. Aaron and Rieko maybe, depending on injuries and form. JB at 12 perhaps.
Ok that's more than I thought in the conversation; 2011 had a whole lot, and mostly in the forwards

I would agree but then stop and think, who says we know more than them?
It's a conundrum, we say everyone is entitled to an opinion, and everyone knows as much as the next person, or is that just on here? Lol

Of course they're entitled to an opinion. Nobody has said otherwise.
That opinion is open to be mocked mercilessly if it's obviously moronic.

He’s not the only one being generous.
Jordie is not getting past De Allende or Aki.
In fact the Bok and Irish second stringers ( Esterhuizen and Henshaw ) would probably both get in ahead of him too.
Jordie has done very well but lots of that is down to having to put up with Havilii for too long.

That would be the dryest of powders, since forever! Never tested, always dry - Fosters amazing rush defence
Foster just needs to tell Ryan he's hidden a couple of donuts in the match ball and that's the forwards sorted at least.
