Oli Mathis is quite the prospect. Very good at this level. Hopefully he'll develop into a great player at the next levels, too.

The question is, is he the next Richie McCaw, or is he the next Mitch Karpik?

I feel like flanker is one of the hardest positions to tell if a guy is a future star.

Outside backs, first fives and locks are the easiest to tell I find, because they need a few distinguishable attributes to make it, which they either have or don't.

Mathis is impressive at this level. He is a bit smallish (he looks like he's 6ft / 1.82 m), so he could be the NZ Kwagga Smith.

I think he's taller than that if you compare him to teammates.

Is he the eleventh starting from the right ?
I like the look of Wallace, the tight head prop. Big and mobile.

Mathis is first left, next to James Cameron, the VC and centre.

Yeah, he was good. The two Auckland props really struggled in the scrums.
