The ref has now basically made it impossible for Ta$man to come back.

Not that THAT should be a factor in any decision, ...

Big naki fan here. But that was not an early tackle. And even if it was early it shouldn't have been a penalty try

That was clear as daylight on the reply. Are refs trying to sabotage WR or something? There's no explanation for a lot of the atrocious calls in the last month.

Not an early tackle but there was a jersey pull with the left hand.

Didn't impact anything and you'd see that in every backline move from. Both sides

              Overly pedantic

I didn't notice that, but I did wonder whether something happened to foul his catching of the ball... but was concentrating on the right hand side, which looked picture perfect timing

He pulled the player back before the ball arrived and the player knocked it on. Don't see how the TMO can ignore a technical offence or claim it had no impact

Sowakula didn't knock the ball on because of that slight pull on his jersey. He dropped the ball in the correctly-timed tackle.

Impossible to say for sure. What you described is still illegal. The TMO can’t ignore a jersey pull

                        Blame Nankivell

Do refs always ignore the 5m from scrum rule for the attacking side now?

Riccitelli was definitely Ta$man's best lineout thrower on the night.

I'd argue that the ball was punched out so play-on anyway.

@Bovidae Nah, Nankivell didn't touch the ball. He touched Sowakula's arm.
