RWC Week 5: Ireland v Scotland

Well played Ireland- comfortable win.
No cards or injuries to speak of ... crowd is amazing.
Both teams a lot more disciplined that the ABs (18 pens in total ... we do that on our own)@Mattasaurus Hansen and Lowe are concerns, no?

Could be telling that Scotland finished over the top of Ireland once all the replacements came on.
@Stag don’t think so. Ireland starting emptying the bench at 48 mins and dropped their intensity a little after. Couldn’t have gone much better for them being able to rest leading players so early into the second half and giving the whole bench a decent run out.

I thought they were just minor .. but could be wrong.. and someone said Lowe is off to hospital...

La Rochelle showed how to beat Leinster in Dublin in this year's EC final. 13 starters for Ireland came from that province this evening. Winning the physical battle up front is the key, of course.

Impressive by Ireland. But gee do they milk the referee to the max. I thought the Tmo was inept today and hope Mr Cronan does not officiate for us.
Do we know the qf officials yet? It will make a huge difference in my view. We must create flow from the ruck and keep tmo out of it. -

Brer O’Keefe, Barnes, Gardner and French/Saffa to ref the quarters, surely? Being that #1 is out, #2 or #3 would be welcome and #4 is potentially terrible - but for either team, I like the odds

Wayne Barnes was in charge of the Maori ABs win and the 3rd test Ireland win ... I would be happy with Barnes for the quarters

. And that version of the ABs was not the current version.
