I think that’s what they’ll pick. Finish the game with Cane subbing on for Papali’i & Barrett at 6

Personally I think this is Foster’s final and he will be largely be remembered on the result of this game. If he wins I don’t think it matters whether we win the WRC, a large part of the community will forgive him if we beat the current world number one team. Fail and the fucker will face a tsunami of shit.

Ireland have power and strength across the park, however genuine speed and skill can still beat them. We certainly have a team that can beat them but we just can’t be sucked into throwing it around from anywhere.

Territory and accurately aggressive forward play will put us in the best position to exploit this. Make errors in our own half and we’re likely going to be fucked.

Thanks to previous results and the myriad of learnings surely the players realise this too, the last time the players fed off the hate, they pulled off a big win in SA to save Foster, time to unbottle some of the feelings from the last loss and create the upset

              Reasons to like the Irish

Won a test series in NZ
Have won 17 games in a row beating all the top teams.
Took average Super Rugby players and made them great international players.
Built a team rather than relying on individual talent.
Innovative attack that walks the obstruction line but gets away with it.
              Amazing discipline.
              Excellent defence.
              Excellent structure and plan.
A coach that knows what he is doing.

I actually this has enormous merit. Bringing the super experienced Sam's on to finish when the whips are cracking.

But I think Cane will start, and I hope that means Paps comes on absolutely fizzing

We simply cannot let them continue to recycle phase after phase no matter who is selected

We could be the first team to lose to Ireland in a RWC knockout match, for sure

If we are nervous we are screwed.
                          Calm, direct and conservative.
Don't get suckered into high risk passing.

Up the guts, earn the right to go wide. Kick intelligently, chase with purpose. Kick your goals. Minimise mistakes. Strong set piece. Play with 15 players. Eat weetbix for breakfast. Make your tackles. Soak up dad's tears.

@mariner4life had to have a giggle at Keith setting out the stall for the next 20 odd years of Nisbo. Geogahan and Wilson the two lookalikes.

One of the hallmarks of the Foster era is the inconsistency. If we simply didn't have the cattle and were clearly just not good enough I could begrudgingly accept that. But we show glimpses of how good we can be, which is infuriating
