So Hackett wins the Payton-Hackett revenge bowl. He was 4-11 when he got sacked. Payton currently 1-4, so needs to win at least four of the next seven to be ahead of 'one of the worst coaching jobs in history'.

Funny that preseason this game was being hyped up as a big clash, but in the end it was a game decided but who lost harder. Jets go from a pretty loss vs KC to an ugly win.

oh, is this season still going? i thought it had been called off

The Broncos are 100% fucked. Our roster is actually shit. We traded the future for Russ fucking Wilson. Payton is a cock. Our DC sucks. It's just shit being us. We last made the post-season in 2015, the year we won the SB.

As a fan, i've got to watch the team win 3 Superbowls, that's pretty good. But it's going to be ugly for a loooong time.

Niners should be too good. They've got a class edge and I think this is the game they stamp their Superbowl credentials.

@mariner4life Niners-Cowboys this coming week on Sunday Night Football I think will be telling.

Neither team has played a tough schedule so far.

Dallas' defense has been excellent at generating turnovers meanwhile 49ers offense hasn't turned the ball over. Something has to give.

Conversely - 49ers defense has been good but hasn't been generating many sacks yet with new defensive coordinator Wilks.

Something tells me Cowboys may sneak this one as it feels like a game they've been targetting all offseason after 49ers have knocked them out in the playoffs 2 years in a row. Hope i'm wrong.

                Wow what a demolition.

I don't know what to say. I'm just trying to enjoy watching this 49ers team every week because this group of talent is incredible and it's extremely rare as a fan you get to follow your team with a roster like this - regardless of what happens later in the year.

Yeah sorry, it was just such a train wreck. Remains to be seen if the Browns surpass that - long, guaranteed contracts are ... very risky

The DeShaun Watson thing is crazy. I can't remember the last time a player decided not to practice outside of a holdout. Just totally insane and the Brown have no leverage at all. Burrows slow start kind of shows what can happen if someone tries to force themselves back too fast, but if this goes on much longer I suspect that their legal team will start scouring the contract to see if there is any way out for them.

Purdy's first loss when he starts and finishes a game. Looked rocky as well.

This 49ers team is a monster when they're up, but maybe some signs of vulnerability if they get behind? Saw a stat that prior to this game they'd be behind on the scoreboard for less than 2 minutes.

Some key injuries didn't help though.

Jets were 0-12 against the eagles in the regular season coming into this game. Their top 3 corners were all injured and we're relying on a practice squad corner with a single career start. Defence still came up with 3 picks and held eagles scoreless in the second half.

Through 6 games this season I think they've only allowed one second half touchdown. This defence is good everywhere and deep everywhere. The Jets had one of the hardest opening schedules and it will soften considerably from here. On the other hand, their two easiest opponents so far (pats and broncos, contenders for worst team in the league) have been ugly performances. This team feels like it plays to the level of it's opposition. Bye next week and then a rubbish Giants team. Will be a good test of whether this win gives the momentum to go on a run or whether they're a mediocre team with an elite defence that's always going to be competitive but their offensive misfires prevent them from winning consistently.

Probably would, and even if he wasn't top 10 anymore, he's probably good enough still.

He was moving freely on the sideline today - even threw a few passes. I don't believe for a second that he's back this season, but he clearly seems to. Imagine scraping in as a wild card and being able to bring Rodgers back from IR.

@Cyclops good win - never gave up. Ridiculous finish - hung in there and then sudden INT and TD with less than 2 to go. Then a big defensive play - physical as anything.

Fun day again. Redzone is the shit.
