I think Whitelock now has the record of most RWC games and he has two more to add to his total. Will be hard to beat.

    At least 1 more.

Let’s not get cocky with this AB team.

You are forgetting about the 3vs4 playoff.

I haven't read the match comments yet but the big improvements to me were at the breakdown. The carry/cleans/support didn't give Ireland many turnovers and we put pressure on their ball runners with dominant tackles and ruck aggression.

There were a number of rucks where (based on recent performances at least) that I thought we would just get driven over. But we attacked the breakdown and even the way we were better in placing the ball.

              Scoreboard pressure means something aye!

The fact they needed a try and Jordie had nailed that penalty to get it out to 4 points meant they couldn’t set up for a droppie.

We can’t underestimate how important Aaron Smith was at the end of the game. You can hear him just barking to our boys to get up and realign after each ruck. He would’ve had a point to prove after the YC. Thanks Nuggie, you are an AB legend.

Did you see him yell at Savea to get up out of the ruck when Savea was complaining to the ref. Smith is the heart of this team for sure.

You're right. As long as they still doing double points for RWC matches, and the rankings shown are prior to this match.

That takes us to 90.91, them to 90.57.

                  France 90.59.
                  SA 89.70

Not working out permutations of that. Do France get home advantage penalty?

Get over yourselves fellas. Any other ref and we would've been rolled, bowled and arseholed.

no - he did his usual mostly excellent, with some brain farts. Strong disagree.

Loved how he shouted for Ardie to get up after the Savea was pissed at and complaining to the AR for not getting the turnover penalty

Yep and yelled at many others to let them know it wasn’t on. He’s an emotional guy Nuggie, but when he’s zeroed in there is none better IMO.

The ITV Irish commentary tonight made it even tastier eh. Carrying on and on about Irish dominance despite being behind the whole game. Fuck yes

Did the Irish bottle it a bit when they needed that try ,

Their elaborate attack we normally see with the ball being moved around and runners going everywhere all of a sudden became conservative and made it easier for us to defend .

It’s 2023 and Wayne Barnes is still a cheating fluffybunny.

I hate that pompous prick. Thought he was going to rob us again as he did in 2007.

Get over yourselves fellas. Any other ref and we would've been rolled, bowled and arseholed.

no - he did his usual mostly excellent, with some brain farts. Strong disagree.

You're right. As long as they still doing double points for RWC matches, and the rankings shown are prior to this match.

That takes us to 90.91, them to 90.57.

                                          France 90.59.
                                          SA 89.70

Not working out permutations of that. Do France get home advantage penalty?

Only unofficial, as they only change once a week. And whomever wins France versus SA will be official number one next week
