    update from the NZZP house.

Onto poached egg, creamy mushroom and sausages on toast. Washed down by a nice cuppa tea, and an even nicer stout. I may regret this, but fark it, the sun is shining. Let's goooooo

Barnes was great. Raynal would have killed us and Jack O'Peyper would have ignored the breakdown

Generally okay. But made some rough calls that all seemed to go against us in the second half

@Daffy-Jaffy one of the most significant factors they identified was scrum penalties. Their prop bored in to get dominance and got pinged.

I thought Wayne Barnes was good on big decisions including yellow cards but allowed a little too much at breakdowns which he usually does. And then pinged us unfairly - LF turnover when Sam had cleared ruck.

I don’t mind if we don’t win the World Cup from here. That was our final. The Irish were the best team in the world. We stopped their winning streak. We were underdogs. We played 20 mins with only 14 men. This win was bigger than a final I reckon. Our best performance in four years. Just epic

Yeah nah. I'll go postal if they lose to Cheika and co.

Fuck that. We can beat the Frogs or SA on that performance. No offence to the Argies.

We have to get there first.

And, then it's a final, anything could happen.

If we final, the decision to keep Foz would be considered a success.

TBH, he's probably ahead of expectations.

Not so sure. I think it will be a flat performance because emotionally and physically they'll have expended an enormous amount tonight.

                          Scoreboard pressure means something aye!

The fact they needed a try and Jordie had nailed that penalty to get it out to 4 points meant they couldn’t set up for a droppie.

We can’t underestimate how important Aaron Smith was at the end of the game. You can hear him just barking to our boys to get up and realign after each ruck. He would’ve had a point to prove after the YC. Thanks Nuggie, you are an AB legend.

Did you see him yell at Savea to get up out of the ruck when Savea was complaining to the ref. Smith is the heart of this team for sure.

Did the Irish bottle it a bit when they needed that try ,

Their elaborate attack we normally see with the ball being moved around and runners going everywhere all of a sudden became conservative and made it easier for us to defend .

Maybe we just analysed their attack and knew where they were running.

Cane and Jordie more deserving IMO

I really don't think any of them give a fuck, TBH. Least of all Cane.

Bollocks. Ardie was massive. The motor on the man is unbelievable. Cane steeped up but Ardie does this shit every time he plays.

Eh? I was making the point that neither Cane or Ardie would be worried too much about who got MoM.

So weird to end up with a good draw as an AB fan. We really need to take advantage of it.

Put 40 in the book next week. Semis are usually tense but this will be over real quick.

Not so sure. I think it will be a flat performance because emotionally and physically they'll have expended an enormous amount tonight.

Yes, the great challenge for us will be getting up for a semi against the Argies after we emptied the tank for this one.

We were in a similar position in 2019 and got blown away.

The Argies will look to spoil everything next week and will be very dissapointEd with themselves if an actual game of rugby breaks out.

They will be very tough and I think that will be close.
