Loved winning a three test series against you in NZ too.Every Irish person that reads this forum and reads all of the CONSTANT and incessant WHINING about the supposedly offensive and egregious and horrible personalities of Sexton and O’Mahony on this forum knows exactly what’s up too (is this a sports forum or a reality tv celebrity gossip forum??!!) .
You got pumped a whole bunch of times in the last few years by us and you’re struggling to deal with that and despite us losing you know in your hearts we’ll be back to challenge you in the future again. Fluffy bunnies doesn’t even cover the insecurity and whininess of this forum. You should be glad your team takes us more seriously than you do. good luck going forward. New Zealand and South Africa in the final again. Fair play. You’re the pinnacle of the sport we all love.

@ShitMcCaw TBH if one of our players behaved the same way as Sexton (esp abusing a ref) he would get treated with the same disdain and “constant and incessant whining” on here.
It really has little to do with you beating us so you can drp that approach to defending inexcusable behaviour.

Maybe when all the focus is on one player the problem might be with him … ?
POM called Sam Cane your name. Then watched as he played MOTM to knock him out of WC. We enjoyed it.
As for being insecure …. Well yeah, nothing new there.
Who knows what the future holds. Perhaps Ireland are permanently in the very top tier now, if so then you should rightly enjoy it. Maybe you’ll continue to pump us, maybe you won’t. All to be decided.

@ShitMcCaw Plenty of admiration for your team in amongst the anti Sexton stuff. Some on here don’t think some of our guys should be in the team because of off field behaviour, so it’s pretty even handed moral judgement (condescension) not nationality based

be better if you stick around, most of us can give plenty of shit and take it, always better to have a wider range of views as it does get a bit narrow at times (although the last 4 years, in particular the last month is what I imagine living in an asylum would be like with the stuff that has come out)

@ShitMcCaw I enjoy drunken banter so please stay. We definitely have our share of gobby dickheads (Dane Coles chief among them). But including McCaw there is stoopid. I've been to an event where he was keynote speaker and he practically had to be beaten with a stick to speak. Gobby that boy certainly ain't.

This is me too. I don't begrudge the Gregan's of the world, heck that sledge was funny as hell. Incessant whining at the ref or blaming the ref afterwards, that's best left for the Fern, it's beneath the greatest players.

Well I didn't see that coming, mainly I didn't expect us to play so well. Ireland certainly didn't choke and it was two quality teams facing off against each other.
Our forward pack was very good, in general won the collision and set-piece was solid if not edging the Irish. Our short kicking game improved immeasurably in that it evolved from a disorganized, head scratching chaos to being able to see an organized and discernable plan to kick the ball short and have a competitive chase.
Great to see Kane and Savea actually playing like loose forwards and getting turn overs.
I thought we did a great job of converting our opportunities into points - the Irish turned down several kicks at goal which cost them (for reference ask AB fans the wisdom of turning down shots at goal in must win games as you chase tires, tries tires!!)
Our Achilles heels as in my mind we have two of them.
- Our exits are still terrible and even when executed don't relieve pressure
- Our discipline in the red zone is lacking
In short though a very good game of rugby, Ireland only held out by a couple of big defensive plays at the end. The D in the closing minutes though was epic and disciplined - I guess we held our discipline when it mattered most
