@mariner4life They need to suffer, I live in Oz and all my Wallaby supporting colleagues (and a few Aussie non rugby work mates ) supported Ireland on the weekend...and are now barracking for Argentina. My Bok colleagues have always had the ABs as their second team in the RC. And them and the SA's at the dog park are far better losers than the Aussi dog owners are, geez they get dirty when they lose to us. And far more lippy with their gibes pre an ABs game no matter who we are playing. Let them all suffer in their budgie smugglers.

Yes, but we have been burned before by being too clever and planning for the week after.

I agree that in an ideal world we should manage some players - like Savea, Smith, Retallick and a couple of barratts.

Overall, we are in a good place for minutes played and not many players would be in the red zone for injuries due to minutes played. Apart from some mentioned.

If we get into a lead against Argies perhaps that is the time to rest some of them?

The problem for Ardie is that we don’t have a like for like replacement for him. Which is why he has done the most minutes.

Can we get away with resting him in a semi?

Nobody, I think this RWC is one too early for him.

It was only 15 months ago when he completely stitched up Wales in the 1st test in SA. Wasn’t that one of his firsts tests?

It will be Wayne Barnes won’t it? He has never reffed a final.

I did not know that. He's so highly regarded by the reffing panel, he would be better than Raynal

That’s fair enough, as a neutral I always back the underdog.

Perhaps it is being from NZ that we always do that as we are so often the underdog in lots of sporting contests.

One thing though, don’t you dare show your smug face around here if your Argentina win on Friday! 😉

    @canefan

I think 2019 would have been one he was in contention to ref but England stopped that.

Raynal is a good shout tbf, and may be an emotional one due to France hosting and knocked out early.

Jesus, we had what? Two days of celebrating a really good AB win and now we're just back to another Foster whinge-athon. 🤦🏾♂

Yep Nepia, almost as if some posters were disappointed we didn't lose that so they could get stuck into him again.

Foster is far more open with the press than Hansen ever was. I appreciate that style of Foz. Just different personalities I guess but Foz is a lot more open.

Hansen was always like an AB coach in the 1970’s. Tightlipped and dismissive of the media

Seems you copping similar experience to a lot of mine (with a few exceptions) while I lived there mate. But I have always said over my lifetime (and well before I lived in Oz) the supporters I most enjoyed discussing rugby with were Saffas and Welsh.
Saying that I suspect there is a reasonable number of so called AB 'supporters' in Oz too, I met a few that I wouldn't bother drinking with, usually ones that put on AB jersey when there a test on, but really didn't have a clue except what they read on the internet etc.

Have no problems with any of them, know Foster not really all that keen on press stuff, know he has to do match day stuff etc and Ryan does more than him anyway outside of that.

Provided Poms don't upset the Boks you would think it would be Barnes' final.

I don’t think they were dissapointed but there was plenty who were giving it to Foz before the game and how pleased they were that this was his last week.

It was embarrassing to see people writing off the All Blacks before they face Ireland.

It’s like they didn’t understand the traits, values and hallmarks of All Black rugby that created the All Black legacy in the first place!

This is the same legacy that foster has been systematically dismantling since his appointment? There are many reasons none of us trust fosters ABs see the fosters first thread

Mate, I was as calm as a bhuddist monk in meditation school, seconds before kick off.

I was confident all week and knew we had that performance in us.

Of course, During the game I was screaming my head off downstairs and Chloe came down to check on me a couple of times!! But I knew we were not fucking around or losing that game.

I’m keen to see how we lift ourselves for the semi as we have seen we can be inconsistent snd we struggled to lift ourselves again in 2019 from qtr to semi.

With the adversity we have gone through since 2019, I am not worried that this side will take anything for granted or be complacent about what they need to bring to the semi.

The All Black legacy pre dates Coach Foster by 120 years. He wasn’t even born when the AB legacy was being formed!

Not even Foster can destroy that. 🤞
