so the rumours of Tevita Mafileo,Brewis and maybe another Crusaders prop going to the Blues did not evenuate.

Tamaiti Williams. I never thought that rumour was believable
Is Brewis even fit? Didn't you say the Crusaders were letting him go?

No he is not fit,Brewis has been sidelined all of the NPC and most of the SR with injuries to his neck and Shoulders.
Yeah I heard they were not re signing Brewis due to all the injuries,That is why I thought the Brewis rumour another Ferner raised may have had merit.

I think there was a suggestion he was moving to Harbour. He went to Westlake so that makes sense
Anyway I think there is still another prop to be announced [edit - maybe not, I think I miscounted]

Taavao will also be back at the Blues next year.
Never rated the guy, will be 34 in March 2024 for me hes just a stop gap measure
@Steven-Harris yea I'd say a stop-gap measure.
I believe he's a replacement for James Lay. -
@Daffy-Jaffy yea thats interesting they went for Sheck over our own local boy Ahio. Must see something in him?
Taavao will also be back at the Blues next year. -

@Steven-Harris Yeah I'm in the same boat. Not a great scrummager, ok around the paddock but thats about it. Would rather have gone with Ahio personally.

@Kirwan Good snag , there was a bit of work behind the scences that went into resigning Perofeta.
There 2 other franchise’s at play. -
Good news for nz rugby with Mo'unga and Beauden (still to be 100% confirmed?) heading offshore.
He should have clear air for the Blues 10 jersey next season.
I'm a bit miffed why he doesn't play 10 more for the Naki (or the Blues for that matter) - an example of the fragmented nature of the NZ system - probably the 2nd best 10 in NZ going into next season and he's played very little 10 this year for either Blues or Naki.

@KiwiMurph Naki are bloody spoilt for choices with both Jacomb who has been super impressive and Jason Potroz has been the perfect foil off the bench
I do say all this begrudgingly. -

I do say all this begrudgingly.@Steven-Harris I understand that. But from a NZ rugby point of view Potroz won't even play Super and Jacomb will likely get very little to no game time as a newbie. Meanwhile a capped AB 10 who will be second in line on paper in the country next season hasn't been playing 10.
