@voodoo also makes you wonder just how much is actually true too...I mean some crims are fucking stupid.

Some? LOL here is a reason they don't have a good job. Mostly lazy or stupid, normally both. The criminal mastermind is very much a fictional concept, the vast majority of the time.

EDIT: One of the funniest criminal mastermind things I came across was when we were doing 'exchanges' with Scotland's fast pursuit and helicopter units. Having seen the blurred-out number plates on TV, the crims came to the conclusion that this was vaseline smeared across the number plates stopping the Police units from being able to see the plate. So there was a period of several years where they would catch cars with number plates lagged in vaseline.

Maybe we need a TSF Crime Syndicate?

Just like rugby coaching, surely we can do it better than the incumbents…

    All Creatures Great and Small.

Granny entertainment but you can have too much dark crime, zombie and horror stuff. Feel-good stuff, well written, acted and plotted.

There are plenty of smart crims out there. They usually don't get caught so we don't know about them. The dumb and/or unlucky get caught.

Pablo Escobar was very smart til it all went wrong. There’s one example.

Finished Fall of the house of Usher

Decent enough although as the whole thing is essentially Roderick regaling his old nemesis with a tale over a glass of cognac we pretty much know exactly what is going to happen.

For those who have watched…..which one of his ghastly kids was the biggest arsehole ? I’ve gotta go Frederick by far. What a cock. Honourable mention to his sisters

@MN5 but everyone knew about him, so he had a big old target on him, several in fact, so inevitable he'd be caught or wind up dead.

The Reckoning (TV Series 2023) ⭐ 7.6 | Biography, Crime, Drama

    59m

Thought it was very well structured and sensitive to those affected

    Steve Coogan was superb

Not everyone’s idea of a good watch but I thought it was excellent

Coogan was unbelievably good - best TV acting I've seen for years.
