    A Haunting in Venice

Branagh trying to be clever with an Agatha Christie story. Bit shite and only saving grace is the cinemaphotography.

Remember Lee Majors? Think Emily Blunt is attractive? Believe Ryan Gosling is excellent in action comedies?

Well do I have a show for you!

I feel like I’ve seen the whole movie already from that trailer.

I feel like I've seen it just from that one screenshot from the trailer.

That is why I don't watch trailers.

The Killer: David Fincher film starring Michael Fassbender as a contract killer. Decent drama/action/thriller. Will be on Netflix soon as a produced by them with a limited cinema release.

    Schindler’s List

Still a treat to watch this after a few years and still pick up on little things you missed.

Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Feinnes all give performances of a lifetime.

Thought provoking, shocking, emotional. Spielberg absolutely hits it out of the park with this one.

His best film ever. ( and lets be honest that is saying something )

    Expendables 4

    • What a fucking thing
    • Somebody in that writing/production team had also recently watched Delta-Force, and decided dirt-bikes-with-machine-guns was fucking awesome
    • But somehow - the most unbelievable thing - over that scene, and the plot, and the aged-action-'stars', and everything-fucking-else... was that somebody presumably assumes that Megan Fox is still hot. What a fucking abomination of an human female
      • I'm currently reading a Ben Elton book - This Other Eden - but pretty much any of his books involving Hollywood... Megan Fox would be the ideal casting choice for his uber-cynical view of Hollywood actresses. Critter.
    • Oh.. and every single "twist" - super-expected. But... I guess... it's the fucking Expendables.

Dumber than I was 2 hours ago, but fuck it... it helped me put off watching Liam Neilson's latest effort for another night.

Been meaning to check out this Northern classic:

    G.B.H. (1982)

    G.B.H. (1982)

Superstar bouncer Steve Donovan is pulled back into the world of gang violence when he accepts the role of door protector at an upmarket club in Manchester.

The Expendables is kinda like a World XV. Looks terrific on paper but doesn’t quite work as well as you’d hope.

Also I don’t know you but I know for a fact you’d nail the shit out of Megan Fox given just an inkling of a chance.

I'd take Big Liam's latest pay the mortgage efforts over the Expend4bles (yes that's the correct spelling) any day of the week.

Also, I wish that western action movies would use Iko Uwais properly, he's wasted so much in his non Indonesian films.

I’ve seen Tuxedo Warrior ( based on his life ) starring Bond bad guy John Wyman. What a classic.

Watch it for free on Youtube. What an age we live in.

Extraction aka Hemsworth getting the shit kicked out of him for 2 hours. Good fun.

    Extraction 2
Less damage to Hemsworth. Far more 'splosions. Also good fun.

Watched My Cousin Vinny again the other day.

Zero plot, loads of stereotypical characters but well-written and brilliantly acted. Fred Gwynne & Joe Pesci outstanding as was Oscar-winning Marisa Tomei.

    Oppenheimer

Finally watched this last night. Cracking cast, excellent acting. A fantastic effort by Christopher Nolan.

    Fair Play

Scrolling through Netflix and the girl and I thought we’d give it a hoon.

Young couple working alongside each other in some cutthroat Wolf of Wall Street type set up. Old mate reckons he’s in line for a promotion when someone gets fired, only problem is she gets the job instead.

Both of them change, well can’t say much more without giving the whole thing away.

Very uncomfortable in parts but worth a watch
