She has great shot put pedigree as her dad is still the American high school record holder and won an Olympic silver in the 80s before going to play NFL. She is a worthy champion who pulled off an amazing PB when it counted most. <br><br>
Plus, Americans have proper out of competition testing which is when people dope (no one's stupid enough to be on the juice at championship). This is not like being beaten by a random Belarusian who has spent the winter on a diet of steroids and anvils in Minsk who then throws like the Hulk in the summer.</p></blockquote>

Reserve's intervention to stop Inverdale in his tracks and stop him ambushing Dysdale before NZ media had first crack was brilliant to watch. If Sir Steve want already a knight, I'd be starting a petition to have him knighted. -

<p>The men's Black Sticks suffered a terribly disappointing end to their Olympics campaign today. They were leading 2-1 until the final minutes of the game and then Germany scored two goals - the last one 40 seconds before full time. Absolutely gutted for them to lose their spot in the semi-finals that way. Not sure whether Richie was in the crowd ...</p>

They were leading 2-1 until the final minutes of the game and then Germany scored two goals - the last one 40 seconds before full time. Absolutely gutted for them to lose their spot in the semi-finals that way. Not sure whether Richie was in the crowd ...</p>

<p>That was coming like a car crash for the final six minutes. The Germans pulled their keeper and we simply couldn't clear the ball - wave after wave of attacks - and the one time we got up their end we got a free hit and we got a man binned for time wasting.</p>

<p>Hate to use the "c" word but that was up there with the worst. I suppose those Germans grew up watching replays of Manchester United beating Bayern Munich in injury time!</p>

<p>Worst of all - the semi would have been against 8th ranked Argentina, so quite winnable to play in the gold medal match.</p> -
