Some reports that it collided with a coast guard plane. I've seen footage both of people being evacuated and of what was left of the plane engulfed in flames.

Seems like its collided with a Coast Guard plane on the runway. All accounted for on the JAL, but some missing from the Coast Guard plane.

What a crap start to 2024 for Japan.

Fuck, what a fucking mess to start the year.

We’ve been lucky - no one involved that we know of has been harmed in either incident so far, but my in-laws and one team member’s family were evacuated.

Neither live there but no word yet on my team members family home. Hopefully they don’t have too much damage.
