    They needed to scrounge air to air refuelling parts for the Vulcans to bomb the Falklands. One piece was even been used as an ash tray in the engineer's crew room.

    They bought a few DEC PDP 11's (commercial mainframe computers) and strapped them to some bulkheads with foam packing and used them for all sorts of things. Worked better than the custom-made units apparently.
